Enhancement Shaman are in a great balanced spot and it’s great we finally are competitive in terms of DPS.
However, we need to address the elephant in the rOOM…we go from 100-30% mana in 1 fight of about 15 seconds.
The Change to Shamantic Rage was great in hindsight, if your resto or ele…but does little to help Enhancement.
Could we please get the mana requirement of a few spells like Stormstrike and shocks reduced so we don’t go OOM so quick?.
Appreciate all the effort put into Shaman thus far.

no we don’t… I have pretty much infinite sustain as an enhancement shammy. I can fight mobs 3+ levels one after the other swap pants after the 4th or so to hit shammy rage and drop a heal and right back at it. Storm strike and lava lash cost 70 mana total which is nothing. use a r1 flame shock to proc power surge brings that up to 125 mana. Maybe use the tools available to you

Explain how you’re doing this? I’m using Duel weild spec, lava lash, msw, sham rage and alpha and after 1 mob I’m down to 30% mana…sham rage takes me up to 80-90%. Next mob im down to 20% mana and drinking or waiting for sham rage to come off CD.

True I do use r4. I’m happy to try this see how much difference it makes.
you should be killing things fast enough where the dmg from flame shock isn’t what matters you’re just fishing for the proc. Keep mana spring up, if you’re with another another tanky class or pet class you can drop alpha on them and swap lava lash for water shield for mana for spike heals and way of earth for earth shield to put on whats tanking to keep there health topped off and you’ll have no down time

I don’t use surge on belt I use MSW
Enhancement shamans run maelstrom weapon with dual wield so they’re constantly getting free spells. I don’t think it’s necessary for your stormstrike or shocks to cost less…
Also to clarify the MP5 is always active on Power Surge and does not require the DOT to be active.
Shaman are due for a nerf / reversion of loyal beta, not a buff, lol.
maelstrom doesn’t effect flame shock and most mobs will be dead by the time your stacks build up for a free cast. In raids/bosses it works as you’re hitting stuff alot for longer periods but out in the world or pvp it would be like every 6th target you get a free/instant cast

It’s not this infrequent.
Use your first sham rage early, then slow down on your spamming abilities, or chug a mana pot. SoD is still a version of Classic, you need to manage your mana.
On raid bosses duel wield tanking is the only time you seem to have mana issues, if your kill times are short enough you should be fine.
The sham rage nerf to enh is a little rough and I do think (as a 99 parse tank shaman) that we are overtuned. I don’t think a tank should be doing 700-800 dps on some fights.
But hey maybe were just the new fury tanks.
I have Enhance, and I’ve not run outta mana in raid.
I shammy rage after casting 2 r4 ES and then just keep the train going. I get enough MSW procs for free CL/LB that Earth Shock sometimes chills on CD for a sec due to GCDs.
The worst I’ve had was having to slow my roll on Earth Shock for 1 rotation when the MSW gods were not looking favorable and Shammy Rage was still 4 seconds on CD…before ZUGZUG again.

Why are you running power surge instead of maelstrom as enhance? You’ll get more mana free casts from the latter. Your entire description just doesn’t seem right.
I can see that loyal beta thing getting removed. Our shaman tanks are opting to run beta instead of alpha because lmao why not? Increased damage IS increased threat.
yeah it will probably be changed where if the person you cast alpha on clicks it off you loose beta if they can do that. threat reduction wouldn’t really work as than dps/heal shammies would use it for that
I think I’ve come close to running out of mana once. since the Shammy Rage change, so I had to delay one ES for a few seconds until SRage came off CD.
Considering how many free Spell GCDs I’m using, I don’t have to ES much…
Get the mail gear that has int on it. Helps.
