Enhanced Personal Tabard Customization

Hello, Blizz!

First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere gratitude for the upcoming addition of the personal tabard feature in Patch 10.2.7. This enhancement will surely allow us to further personalize our characters and express our unique identities within the game.

However, I would like to request for additional customization options to truly elevate this feature to its full potential:

  1. Enhanced Icon and Border Quality: It would be fantastic if the icons and borders available for personal tabards could be provided in the highest resolution possible, ensuring optimal quality. Additionally, having access to a color wheel for selecting background colors, icon colors, and border colors would greatly enhance our ability to create visually stunning tabards. :slight_smile:

  2. Expanded Icon Options: While the possibility of designing our own tabard icons is exciting, I also propose the inclusion of pre-existing faction icons, such as those representing the Alliance, Horde, Kirin Tor, Silver Covenant, etc. Furthermore, the ability to customize the colors and even resize these icons would offer a lot of flexibility and would allow us to align our characters with their faction identities during roleplay and better match our transmog choices.

These enhancements would not only enrich our gameplay experience but also foster greater creativity and immersion within the WoW community.

Edit: oh!! And also please let us choose to “cut” the tabard skirt regardless of whether we’re using pants or robes, thanks!!

Yeah, guild tabards kinda suck, visually-speaking.

There’s a reason why everyone wears reputation tabards, or nothing at all.

Being able to make your own faction tabards would be badass.

In addition to improvements in icon and border options, I hope we’ll be able to acquire lighting effects for these tabards. Imagine having tabards that looked like these:

Oh wow I had no idea those existed, I agree these options should also be available for us players!

They’re chest pieces, the first one cloth and the second plate. But I’m just using them for examples of what could be for tabards.

Biggest thing I want updated about tabards is making them use a full image instead of requiring them to use mirrored images. It made sense to use a mirrored image to create a full image back in 2004 when resources were slimmer. Now, though, being able to have full images and thus asymmetrical symbols, such as the Lordaeron L or the actual Silver Hand icons, would be a great upgrade.

Yeah 100% this, giving us the choice of mirroring icons or having them as full images would be awesome.
