Right now stormbringer is a two button spec with random modifiers on them, and a big CD which makes you use both of them at the same time (wombo combo) + doom winds thrown in for spice.
Right now tuning is a lot of “GCD overloading” I would say, as with all the lightning bolt and awakening storms buffs, I could randomly hit someone for 3-4m and could do 6m globals during ascendance (assuming no active mitigation).
I feel like randomly getting hit for 40%+ of your hp in an instant from one person doesn’t foster healthy gameplay and using other abilities to create a better damage spread would be more fun.
One suggestion would be to add main target crash lightning damage to voltaic surge (stormbringer tree) and crank up the PvP modifier so that crash does consistent main target damage (similar to how it is with tier fully stacked or a little stronger, and then nerf tier). This would make crash more interesting and make unrelenting storms an actual talent choice for single target, while providing consistent damage into plate classes.
Another option (which would affect both builds) would be to buff frost shock damage or maybe remove the cd (which wouldn’t really impact lash damage) so that it can be a more consistent follow up to spenders.
Also DRE needs to be fixed as it is unplayable. To put it into a frame of reference, it needed 12-13 storm strikes on average to proc during DF, and currently needs 16-17 fully stacked spenders. There is also no forgiveness mechanic so there have been instances where I needed 40 full stacked spenders to get a single proc (which would require a 5 minute shuffle round at a minimum, or me sitting on an afk demo lock and uh dk for 2-3min)
TLDR; stop buffing SS and LB so much and buff crash main target damage or frost shock. Also fix dre pls
