Enhance Shaman DPS SOD

I’ve been playing Enhancement Shaman for the past 4-5 years, and in Phase 6 of Season of Discovery, it feels like the spec is still being undervalued. Its role seems limited to totems and support, with no real dominance in any area of the game. After three phases of being stuck as a mid-tier DPS, it feels long overdue for some meaningful changes.

Enhancement Shamans might not be the most popular class, but I had hoped Season of Discovery would be an opportunity for less-represented specs to shine—not necessarily as top-tier, but at least elevated beyond mediocrity. I thought the whole point of this season was to make struggling specs more viable and competitive, yet Enhance still feels like it’s falling short.

I don’t have all the answers on how to fix it, but I would really appreciate if the devs took some time to revisit the spec. Looking at the Phase 7 tier set and the nerf to Shamanistic Rage, it’s hard not to feel like we’re in for another disappointing phase. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Enh shaman is most played horde dps. Elemental is second most played horde dps lol

It’s still fine though. Can still clear everything in sod with an Enh heavy raid

yea looks like its performing near the bottom of the ranks nears arms warrior on warcraft logs.

Its tough, becuase how do they add anything to it without completely breaking pvp AGAIN for enhance like they did in phase 2? (legit it just 5 shot everyone.) Im sure there is an answer somewhere but what it is i dont know.

I get what you’re saying. However, does that mean I would have to join a heavy enh shaman group just to feel competitive in raid. I don’t think a tweak or reverting some of the nerfs from previous phases would hurt anyone. Also I don’t think more nerfs are necessary either.

They may be most popular, but as they scale to other DPS, he has a point. They are thought of as a raid buff for a multitude of reasons before thinking about them being a top DPS.
