Does anyone else feel like Enhance’s durability/survivability in high M+ is pretty low? I’ve played a few different classes at the higher end of M+(not top tier play but up there) and Enhance has to feel the squishiest of all them. A lot of unavoidable mechanics are 1 shot kills if wall is on CD, I got killed by outright Blightbone’s Heaving wretch through bulwark while being at around 90%+ HP while only taking maybe 60% damage on other dps.
Is it just me? am I missing something with the build?
Is it squishier than rogue and monk?
As far as I can tell yes, squishier than both.
For Blightbone’s mechanic, go into ghost wolf. Make sure you take the talent that gives you damage resistance while in ghost wolf.
For pushing high keys, you need more versatility than a guide will have you believe. And you should keep an eye out for Avoidance drops on gear. If you haven’t already, get Avoidance enchants.
Enhance shaman is the sturdiest it’s ever been with recent buffs - but that’s because it’s always been made of paper. If you recognize it’s squishy, you’ll make a point to play around that limitation.
This …
If you’ve never noticed a lot of enhancement players kite like they’re allergic to melee … it’s because they are
I often use earthgrab totem as just a quick way to mitigate damage through distance. And the I follow that up with a double capacitor totem and come in close to bring on the pain!!!
We’re more or a “take a big hit and heal
It all in one MSW charge” class.
I always pick up my 30s cooldown reduction for astral shift, the defensive totem at the end of the tree. And earth shield to try to mitigate as much damage directly or by healing it back as i possibly can.
Unfortunately healing stream totem doesn’t really do that much, i think the scaling on it broke when they realeased TWW and they never fixed it because it heals an absolutely piddly amount of damage.

As of tomorrow’s patch I will be playing Totemic full time. With that, the extra shields from Totemic will come in handy, also it will give the ability to do damage from a distance, to avoid some of the more damaging mechanics.
I am looking forward to this, I think its going to be fun.

I haven’t looked into Totemic at all, I’m not a huge fan of having to move totems around to maintain damage but if it becomes really strong I might be willing to try it out. I’m really enjoying the storm stuff though.

I like the predictability of totemic. The way that stormbringer just sort of happens is off putting to me for whatever reason
Admittedly, you need to know the dungeon and how the tank is moving as part of Totemic. That said, with the talents, you can have the totem available every pull in a M+ and also the movement if needed. If you learn how and where you will place it, it will not be an issue.
The Range or the circumstance of the totem is pretty large so that helps. I had wished that the totem would be auto-placed, but being able to place it has its advantages as you play through so I do not mind.
