big disagree
I am new to enhancement. I’ve played most other classes, but legit just started enhance this week. Here’s some macros I made to reduce the button bloat to a degree. Please note that my Shaman is only level 38 right now, so I’m sure I’ll have to find new ways to beat the button bloat later on, but it’s really not looking like that much more is going to be added. I have over a dozen key slots for the quest to reach/click spell slots so I’m not stressing at all.
- Ice Strike Talent, you want to use it before Frost Shock. So this is easy.
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=12 Ice Strike, Frost Shock
- Lava Lash and Flame Shock, you want to Flame Shock first to spread it and do more damage.
(Note: I keep Lava Lash as Shift 3 for the lower CD use if my Flame Shock isn’t up on the 3 key with the macro)
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=5 Flame Shock, Lava Lash
- Lava Burst when it’s up, Lightning if you get max maelstrom before it comes back.
(Note: this macro is my 4 key, but I keep Lightning Bolt as Shift 4, just incase I need to cast it repeatedly or if it’s higher prio that Lava Burst for any reason)
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=7 Lava Burst, Lightning Bolt
- Crash Lightning on CD basically, and Chain Lightning when it’s not up for AOE. I have multiple Chain Lightning casts in the macro incase I get rapid maelstrom during an AOE pull which can happen. As soon as Crash Lightning is back up it’s already reset to be used again.
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=9 Crash Lightning, Chain Lightning, Chain Lightning, Chain Lightning, Chain Lightning
Doing these cast sequences makes it so I can pretty much only click 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 keys for an entire dungeon or during questing. I don’t usually need to use the shift key alt attacks outside of the macros, but sometimes I can. It really helps me play kind of lazy.
You can also do heal/harm macros to even further condense spells. I was sort of annoyed at how many prep spells enhance does and got tired of it so I made macros. Now it’s like playing a warrior or some other smooth brain class with no clicks. Hope this is helpful ![]()
