So, made my first shaman in over 10 years and decided to try Enh.
Got good rotations from icy veins. however, Lava Lash requires 1h melee weapon in the off-hand - which is currently occupied by my shield.
So, what gives, playing without shield? Did I miss something? I can play DW? if that’s required (didn’t try to equip 2 weapons, don’t even know if they can), but I was playing elem and got a very nice blue shield drop with decent stats - hence I decided to try Enh.

Welcome to the most fun class and spec in the game, imho 
Enhance has been dual wield since TBC though, and yeah, you definitely need a weapon in both hands in retail now.

As stated Enhancement is a dw spec. It is a fun spec imo. Hope you give it a good try.

Try both. Although Elemental is a lot of kiting.

Enhance is still great. Hammers, Axes, Fist weps. You basically are a baby tank. Elemental will require quite a bit more kiting, /u still keep a shield in my bag for switching specs
yeah, or put out the earth elemental and just let loose.
