Enh mains, what are you

playing for alts? I’ve been trying to find another melee that I enjoy but haven’t hit the mark. i’m going to give ww a try next.

I have a monk. I personally think WW is the weakest of the specs and wouldn’t switch to that myself. The best performing melee at this time is havoc DH and assassination rogues.

I have a DH and a Warr and a SV hunter all 360+ item level-I keep comin back to the sham. Idk why really, just personally enjoying it more-Fury war is pretty fun too though.

Shelved for the rest of wow unless there is a complete over haul of the spec.imo blizzard needs to go back to the classic wow enhancement shaman and ditch maelstrom gen, rock bitter and lava lash.

The current enhancement shaman has to mamy mnelee attacks i like a smipler rotation like the classic enhance spec.
I cant wait to play classic to play what enhancement used to be.

As far ase the rest of wows life span its shelved until a complet over haul happens.

Not playing an alt, this is my last expac so I’m going out with my enhance

I have alts because every now and then I get bored and level something. Once they hit max (of whatever xpac) they pretty much just sit on the shelf.

Been identifying as an enh shammy since tbc - not changing it now

I don’t think we have the same memories of enhancement back in vanilla. I just remember clunky talent trees and praying for a windfury proc in PVP.

Clunky talent trees?what do you think we got now?blizzard gave up on talent trees at 100…lol.waiting for a wind fury proc?it sounds like you didnt know how to play an enhance shaman back then.

Its what you do ie shocks totems in between wf procks that mattered back then.

Our talent trees are far better than they were back then. BTW - there was no such thing as enhancement shamans back then. We only had one tree which different branches of talents you could select, so in essence you could mix enhancements with elemental talents and restoration talents. Most shamans took restoration talents for raid healing because out dps sucked big time.

Your rose colored goggles on enhance are laughable.

I used to play Ret/Enhance mainly for Ally/Horde during Vanilla and it was not as great as you claim to remember. Hybrids were really only taken for DPS in PvE unless out gearing, you were expected to heal.

In PvP you had to hope for RNG, pally’s too with their SoC. Granted if you like that sort of RNG play then I guess it works for you. PvP was certainly more fun as far as enhancement goes, but even then it was clunky and you were either praying for a WF proc or throwing bus shocks…It really wasn’t that great or that involved, people just remember the stars aligning occasionally and deleting someone with WF.

The game has many faults, many, many faults…but is vastly superior than it ever was before from a mechanical standpoint and design wise.

I have a Shadow/Disc Priest and a Beast Mastery Hunter, though I wouldn’t say any one of them are alts - I put in as much time on any one as I do the other.

Frost Dk is the closest I’ve found to the play style. As someone else said Fury warrior is lots of fun.

Trying to find another enh weapon so I can actually try it. There have been a couple enhance i have raided with that are just beasts.

I switch on and off between my Warrior and Enhance. Honestly, I think a lot of people who get upset at Enhancement want a more straightforward tunnel DPS class/spec, in which case I’d definitely recommend Warrior.

Part of playing a Shaman is being more adaptable and the class design is still very “hybrid” ever since Vanilla. You have to play an Enhancement Shaman knowing you’re a swiss army knife utilizing totems, CC, off heals when needed, etc. Of course that all depends on the scenario and situation, PvE and PvP.

Fury plays very similar to enhance from a pure dps perspective, duel wield, and keeping active pressing buttons.

If you haven’t played WW in the past (especially in MoP or Legion) it won’t feel weak. Sure, it’s not in a great place (a majority of your DPS is tied to your cooldowns and outside of your CD burst, your DPS is average.) WW has had its bread and butter nerfed significantly (AoE through Fists of Fury, trying to limit is AoE throughput, which impacted it’s single target throughput since FoF is your hardest hitting single target ability too) and they’re trying to fix it and not doing a good job.

On a positive note, in addition to the heirlooms, you get the monk buff (50% XP bonus that’s available until lvl 80.) Combine that with the WM on alliance and you’ve got something even faster. Even if you decide you don’t like the monk, you’ve got the leather heirlooms for a rogue.

Can confirm, Havoc and Mut rogue are great fun. Havoc gets a bit stale when you get tired of pressing Demon’s Bite. Reminds me of the old spammable Rockbiter for open GCDs.

In fact, all three Rogue specs, not just Mut. Mut is wonderfully slow-paced, and Outlaw can get frenetically fast-paced.

Maybe im the only one, but Ive been really enjoying enhance

Destro lock - My blacksmith / alchemist. Makes stirrups for my gatherer.
Guardian Druid. Herbalist / Miner. Makes gold for me.
BM hunter. Made to collect bacon in Legion. Sidelined at 110.

Personally if you’re wanting the closest “feel” of Enh I’d say go for Frost DK, but truly that just lands in the eye of the beholder.

My “main” alts, if that’s even a thing, is my Prot/Arms warrior, Affliction Lock, and Frost/Blood DK, but I will say Unholy is loads of fun, as is Survival Hunter.
