Is turbo Enh best option and are there other fun off meta but ok comps?
beastcleave bm/enhance i’ve seen work well. I could see enh/ret or enh/ww doing decent.
So the best comp is turbo. Just because you are very squishy and a good warrior will be able to keep you alive. Few other comps worth mentioning listed below:
- Enh/Frost DK/Hpal - Dk is able to peel enh and both of you have lots of aoe damage. Massive aoe cleave with ascendance aoe damage, chain harvest, sunder, and Dks aoe stuff.
- Enh/BM hunter/Disc or Hpal - Stun trap / fear with hex on off target and nice kill windows. High sustained damage.
- Enh/Boomkin/Hpal - No heal cut but massive cc chain on healer every 1 min
- Enh/ww or dh/Healer - Basically similar to turbo but less peels for shammy
- Enh/Destro Lock/ Healer - You give lock hero and skyfury totem when he bursts and try to kill.

Yes and alot of them are better with classes other than shaman at all haha. U asked for enhancement comps that you can make work and I gave you a list. Sure there are better versions of each comp with ele or other specs even but if u wanna play enhance Then this is your list. Enhance doe not have much synergy with many classes unfortunately because of DRs or because of its unability to stay alive without peels.
Eh your CC’s kinda dr and neither of you can peel for the other particularly well. You both need it too. There’s a reason enhance only really has turbo and hunter kinda only has jungle with a bit of scatter.

Enhance/ww definitely works well enough. It’s a worse turbo because again our peels kinda suck and monk needs them more than a warrior does.
I’d be interested in seeing enhance/ret, absolutely insane unhealable burst. Still no mortal strike and pretty bad cc I think would hold it back.
I don’t know how… But they have to give enhance something that lets play more comps. Turbo has been by far and way the strongest comp by a mile since tbc lol. Like mage for example plays with virtually every class in every comp!? Can we get more than two comps lol
if ur talking about top end viability yeah just turbo. lower than that you can play with anything with a disorient and it won’t be trolling.
This is what’s really disappointing about the PvP talent refresh from an enhance perspective. Doesn’t seem like they did anything to address enhance viability which is garbage in 2s/RBGs and pigeon holed in 3s.
We were even one day away from going live with a 22% mana regen nerf that would have absolutely destroyed the spec in PvP. Which suggests noone at blizzard knows or cares much about enhance.
Guess that could also explain why the spec is dead last in raid DPS and yet has been totally ignored on the PvE front as well while specs like arms warrior have gotten buffed.
Some ideas:
Nature’s swiftness - off GCD. Your next nature spell is instant cast. 1 min CD. [could be used for a heal but could also be used for an instant hex once a min].
Capacitor Totem - +2 second stun duration in PvP like leg sweep and chaos nova. [why do havoc and ww get this and not us when there’s is easier to land?]
Shamanistic Rage - instead of astral shift. [more frequent usage, useable while stunned, mana regen ability allowing for more sustain leading to more ability to use utility like purge]
Strength of Earth - baseline passive - physical damage taken reduced by 10% and disarm duration reduced by 50%. [helps make up for lack of MS by giving us more sustain and makes us less easy to counter due to how strong disarm is vs enhance (can’t do dps, can generate resources, etc.)].
Purge - mana cost reduced to 5% or eliminated. Enhance is so mana starved that we can’t use purge effectively vs alot of comps due to too many buffs (triune, hots, tons of trash buffs from conduits/soulbinds/etc.). Let us purge! It still costs a global for each buff in a high burst meta.
It was actually super depressing. I was seeing all these other classes get cool stuff and even ele/resto. We got nadda that actually fits with our kit.
Honestly this alone would go so far. Actually give us some cc which is basically what PvP is designed around. I actually think there should be a PvP talent that allows maelstrom to make it instant. Its far from op as it still costs mana, has a lengthy cd, drs a ton of cc, has to be used instead of healing and can be dispelled by half the dps out there. Compare that to feral instant entangle for example that seems pretty reasonable.
That alone would be enough for me. The other fixes you list make it so we are stronger but really I’d just like a tool that makes us viable in more than flippin turbo.
Meanwhile a braindead spec like havoc isn’t meta for one season and they give it a 15% damage buff and a crazy slate of new honor talents and it’s back to being 8+% representation in every PvP bracket.
Yup… How many melee classes have instant cast stuns on the same cd as we would love to have an instant cast cc that’s worse than a stun.
Poor enhance… There’s a reason I haven’t played mine almost at all this expansion
We get ride the lightning “fixed” to not break CC but still be totally disfunctional and not work at all half the time because old ride or static cling (both beloved talents) are apparently too good for enhance. Meanwhile DH gets this:
Which is basically a 10% damage buff too all their damage all the time (since their damage is all chaos anyway and throw glaive is a 9 sec cd that hits 3 targets) + a potential 10% damage buff for their teammates.

For AOE mortal strike.
Plus this:
Which, among other things, makes chaos nova a 5 second single target stun in PvP. On top of the 4 second stun they get from their talent row.
