Engineering Work Orders

So like what am I supposed to do for work orders? I feel like a really easy way to fix this would just be to have some simple consumables made by every profession. That way there would be a constantly flow of work orders for those consumables instead of having some of the professions only be able to craft gear and stuff.

Even as something like a blacksmith, there are shovels and stuff that you can get value out of making more of but there’s pretty much nothing engineers can make on an ongoing basis other than logging into an alt, requesting screws, and then mailing them back to my engineer.

Logged into my engineer yesterday and there were orders up for 5 toys with varying amounts of materials. All listed for a whopping 150 gold each

So if you wanted to line the pockets of an aspiring grifter, there is always that. Otherwise, you can make fishing poles or other profession gear for alts like I do.

I order parts via an alt.

Cheap’n’easy

Also can send them back to me to use. So bonus!

Mainly the high-end profession equipment given that they are bind on pick up so you can’t just sell them in the AH. The downside is most people are unaware there is a high-end version of profession equipment, especially for the likes of cooking.

Yeah, I just do this. It’s easy on an alt that has mining, because they usually have the sereite anyway. Just have them put in a couple of work order for bolts and then send them back to the engineer.

For the weekly work orders, I just have my bank alt order all my alts work orders when I first log in on Tuesday. I oder stuff I know is cheap and or sells well. I make sure Monday they have what they need.

As for engineering, my main is an one and I make fairly decent money especially from guildies. But yes, toys, pets, bracers from DF come up. I also make old world pets, toys, things like gliders. Of course I’m one one of the highest population servers, so it may vary

Yeah this, if you’re just trying to complete the quest. Have an alt place 3 orders for serevite bolts. I know it’s stupid, but it gets the job done.

HAHA this man thinks engineers get to be relevant.

Send request for severite bolts from an alt

I just send requests for arclight capacitors from an alt. 2 caps is usually enough to cover all my needs for those for the week. That’s also what I do for blacksmithing. Just send in a request for some fancy alloy that I mail right back to my blacksmith/engineer to use as needed.
