Not going to lie…the new profession changes look interesting but I am completely lost with how Crafting Orders work. I just got this quest for engineering:
“Crafting orders are coming in left and right! If you’re looking for work, the Artisan’s Consortium always has orders to fill! You can take a look at our public orders, or if you’ve built up a network of clients for yourself, fill some guild orders or personal orders! Just get it done, done, done!”
So I have no idea what she means by “public orders”. Find them where? The Crafting Orders people right next to her? How do I create or find what she is looking for?
Near the trainer there will be a crafting table that has a Craft Orders tab with the available orders. I don’t think there’s any system in place to guarantee that any orders will be available, though, or if there is they are in limited supply - the LW table currently shows no orders available.
Since people are still leveling up & replacing gear on a regular basis, there’s probably not much demand for crafting gear yet. Hopefully that will change.
If you want to place an order, there are specific NPCs you need to talk to in either Forkriver Crossing or Valdrakken. An order can be Public (anyone can fill it), it can be a Guild order (limited to crafters in your Guild) or it can be Personal (you specify who you want to fill it). For Public orders the buyer has to provide all the mats, for Guild & Personal orders they do not.

When you are at an Engineering Crafting Table, you ckick it and you will have your skill table pop up and at the bottom are three tabs, the kill, specializations, and crafting orders.
The crafting orders tab has three also, public, guild, and personal.
There are not many folks putting in public orders yet, if at all. And if so they are scooped up real quick.
You can fulfill work orders if you have a quest to do so either by having an ALT of yours make them, or have someone from your guild do it. You can send either the supplies or supply them yourself. Either way you can fulfill those queats that way.
