Hi, I have looked through the forums. I have searched Google, even opened a ticket and still can’t find an answer. (despite clearing my cache and WTF file multiple times now. As instructed.) I am level 65 in tbc. I have got my engineering at 373/375. And decided this is the point I wanted to pick up Gnomish engineering for the helm. But I went back to Stormwind and the trainer doesn’t have the quest for me. I thought maybe I had picked it up already and done some of it, so I went to Booty Bay, Ratchet, Ironforge, and Tanaris. And even went to the little hut where the book is on the table. but that doesnt let me change anything just says that the words look like they’re in a state of flux. I’m literally stuck, and have no idea what to do now. Has anyone else had the same issue and worked it out, please?
If you already have goblin engi specialization your only way is to drop engi all together and level it up again
That’s the thing, I don’t have any specializations. I wanted to train one, and decided to go gnomish. But I can’t pick up the start quest for them. The quest isn’t there. Also, they added the little book on the table in tanaris so you don’t have to unlearn it all anymore.
Check and see if you have a quest called a pledge of secrecy maybe you accidently picked it up or accidently picked up the goblin one.
I have checked. Thank you for trying. I only have bladesedge quests in my log. Nothing else.
Dang, that sucks. You obviously already checked to see if you could learn any of the gnomish or goblin schematics?
Are you clicking the NPCs specifically or are you just looking for a quest marker on your map?
Cuz the quest for Gnome/Goblin engineering is 100% going to be a low level quest that wont present a marker unless you turn that option on.

I clicked on them properly. It just gives me the option to train. But I’ve learned them all already. Thanks for trying though. And Chizan, yes i checked if i learned any of the specific schematics.

I have tried everything that the forums, everything the comments on wowhead, all of the suggestions from GMs when i opened the tickets. And they literally cant help me at all, the only thing they can tell me to do now is open a post on the forums and cross my fingers that a dev can “fix” the issue. I hope they can, but with not knowing what the issue actually is….. Im not certain what they can do either.
