I like the concept but believe 8 hour cd is excessive. I would align the cd with that of Jeeves and/or MOLL-E.
Are these still obtainable? If so, very grudgingly maybe. If not, then absolutely not.
Edit: Since it seems they are only obtainable on BMAH at this point, and even then exceedingly rarely, I would not include that as a required material to make this. I am opposed to punishing current engineers for either not playing during BFA or not having the gold to purchase the gold sink mount of the expansion.

Had you bothered to read my OP instead of knee jerking, you would have read the part about mats and hefty price tag. It would not be cheap or easy. The current ENG mount costs 4.5M to make. I think for something that is NOT a mount, 1M in mats is fine, especially since ENG is not a money making prof like every other prof in the game.

Since you are so adamant in pushing, I was thinking more like 12.1, and the same level of insane materials it took to make Jeeves (back then) which including farming Ore in Wintergrasp⌠an active PvP zone. Unlike most whiners on this forum, I am willing to put in the work, and the time, and the gold to get what I want and not just have it handed to me like an entitled twerp, which is ALSO part of my OP. As for any of it being in your hands to decide, I can assure you, Blizz will be FAR more punishing if they even say yes.
I am just saying the value to make one should exceed the value of getting the Brutosaur if ever Blizz would allow it.
If it only allowed the engineer to use it to buy 1 item and post 1 item per 24 hours, then it might not be overpowered.

No need for all that. The dino was a mount, repair, AH⌠and prolly a half dozen other things for that price. I would not know since it was too ugly and too spendy for so little benefit. Even this new flying mount, that has little more than my Lightforged vehicle (which only cost me 650k) costs 4.5M in mats. If they are gonna make me spend north of 5.5M in mats, That little son of a gun better do EVERYTHING Jeeves, Reaves, and Moll-E can do, just like the little Sprite follower we got FREE in the Ohnâaran plains. 
I said it was an 8hr cd with a 10 minute use. I swear no one reads anymore.

Itâs a great idea.
It would also allow access to the AH in areas that donât allow mounting (like dungeons), which would be cool.
They could also have another item that allowed access to the BMAH, if they were so inclined.

Nah, it should be like 1/2 the cost.
Long Boi should also appear in the trading post, along with all the other rare mounts.
I honestly had a similar thought while on mine the other day. I made that toon specifically for SL so i didnât have to keep a toon in SW.
But, the thought came to me in raid when a guildie brought out their Longboi , and another dropped a mail box ⌠why canât my engineer make both of those and preferably be able to sell them

Bad idea. Longboi was an ego mount, so auction bot will encroach on that, reducing the prestige, so yeah⌠canât have that. gotta stroke the egos.

I dropped my engineering this expansion when I looked at the ânot collectedâ recipes, and it seemed worthless to me.

thats not how it works though.
like longboi is prestige because you can just whip it out in the field.
and an AH bot encroaches on that territory, which reduces the prestige.
its like the amani warbear mount all over again.
they came out with battlebear, and warbear prestige went into the dirt.
things need to be prestige, and the longboi is âprestigeâ because it shows you know how to run AH bots to gouge people for their hard earned money on things they need like flasks etc like a shkreli bro. the longboi shows that youâre a âtycoonâ or just someone with too much time and no braincells that is willing to buy 300 bucks worth of tokens.

it needs to be useful again. nade belts. glove tinkers bringing haste buffs.
cloak glider.
disposable RPGs that do huge damage and siege for BGs or something.
