Soooooo, maybe someone can help me out here because I think i must be missing something. The engineering bop helm recipes come in 3 ranks. To purchase rank 2 is 900 gold plus honoured rep with some faction or another and rank 3 is 1200 gold and revered rep with the same faction again. During levelling, we pick up an arcanite helm and i don’t think the crafted helms are better than an arcanite piece - so that means these helms are only good as mog. The cost of the mats to craft the helms at rank 1, while more than required at rank 2 and 3, still cost less than paying 900 for a rank 2 recipe and 1200 for a rank 3 recipe - so what is the purpose of the rank 2 and 3 recipes? they craft a helm that you’re not going to use and can be crafted for a heck of a lot cheaper at rank 1 for mog purposes. am i missing something about the purpose or benefit of purchasing and learning the rank 2 and 3 recipes???
the purpose of the rank 2 and 3 recipes is to have rank 2 and 3 recipes, in my opinion, to tickle crafters’ sense of “gotta know all the recipes”. (I think I went ahead and bought them, because I have that too, but I don’t think I’ve ever made but one.)
