Blizzard said they release a new class if it fits with the expansion/story. This was an absolutely perfect time to finally release an engineering class. With delves, the lore, setting, etc. Even Dagran is basically just an engineer class.
Its time to make a cool class people actually want to play. Bring on the Engineer class!

Hilarious inadequate.
It’s got solid tinker vibes, I’ll give you that, but NOTHING is as good as, “Hey what class do you play” and actually being able to answer with simply, Tinker (or whatever tech themed class).
Cosplaying as the class you wish to be is clearly not sufficient.

I want the tinker class to be a tank class that’s open to all races. Maybe even the first tank class with two different styles of tanking.

although in real warfare, it’s an auxiliary class…
would wow players be okay with a non-combat class?
