I’m not impressed with the panda remix. Just a bunch of endless grinding and recolored mounts.
At least with the plunderstorm you had a really decent pirate outfit. While it was not popular with a lot of people it was different.

Psst… it’s a secret leveling up promotion for new chars and bait to get older players back in the game. The cosmetics are mere extra bait to lure you in.
The point is char leveling in the end, and the power trip if you’re into that.
If you don’t want the cosmetics or new chars, don’t do it.
You literally just described every live service game, ever.
They also described WoW itself as it has always been.
I started leveling a new character a couple of weeks ago to do a full MoP playthrough, but then saw this announcement. It’s going to be enjoyable for me since I love MoP and collecting mounts.
Well more rewards for more grinds, seems like Blizz is throwing rewards left and right in the last few months
to be fair its not endless if you can get all the stuff and stop playing the event after.
They’re taking one mount and putting every color combination to it.
There’s really no point to this event. Crazy amount of currency you need to purchase most of the mounts.
Might as well just wait for MOP classic to come out.
I disagree. The currency will be paced decently if you don’t spend it all on consumable stuff and gear upgrading.
I guess if you’re not a big fan of leveling in general, this won’t have much for you.
For us altaholics however…
I’m just annoyed all the transmogs are sold as ensemble set items only. Wish I could spend a smaller amount to grab the 2-3 items I’m missing from mostly completed sets.
Me having fun, dressed as a Shado-Pan, struggling through heroics, pressing the big new buttons and stampeding rawring as a monk.
You nailed it. That’s exactly what this is. And it’s amazing.
thats because you did not lost your mind in insanity farming the thundering and celestial onix serpent mounts.
being able to farm bronze to buy them??? way better than waste 5 years of my life dealing in garbage rng god with 30 alts every week
I thot theres gonna be mop world boss / raid mounts that that can buy with currency + new mounts
Endless grinding
It’s not endless. There is an end and reward for reaching that end.
not new or fun
Not fun for you, but there are plenty of people who either don’t mind or even enjoy the grind. Myself included.
Then don’t participate. It’s that simple. You’re not being forced to.
Yep. I got the Sha mount a couple weeks ago, lol.
IDC that they put it on a vendor, just wish I hadn’t spent nearly 10 years farming it, lol.
cheapo way to for blizz to give them away imo, how special are the mounts if everyone has them ?
Of course.
This event exists to convert unsubbed or Classic players over to Retail. There’s a reason they’ve loosely referred to this as Season of Discovery for Retail - SoD is a huge smash huge that’s grown the game and they want to both repeat the success of SoD and convert the players added by SoD into Retail players who buy boxed expansions every 18 months.
Everything else is superfluous.
