Reading the Sinstone does not make Vilhelm hostile, making it impossible to advance in Revendreth and, thus, all end-game content.

I’m having the exact same problem.
I am thinking maybe, MAYBE, I have to read it while his dogs are still alive and tied to him by his channeling. The problem is, the dogs seem to have like a 30-60 minute respawn timer if killed before reading the stone. So I am just waiting to try again with them still alive.

I’m having the same issue. Waited for the dogs to respawn, Tried the book, didn’t work. I weakened his pets below 50% Health and tried the book, didn’t work. Killed one of the pets and tried the book, didn’t work. Killed the other pet and tried the book, didn’t work. Just so people are aware. This whole quest seems to be bugged out.

mine is bugged too. I order Temel to read. Nada. Anyone have a solution.
This quest is bugged. I have disabled all addons, reload ui, abandoned and picked up the quest, logged in and out, and even ran scan and repair on wow. I have targeted the mob, not targeted the mob. I have targeted Temel and not targeted Temel. Nothing seems to work to engage the quest mob. Weirdly an alliance player just ran up and was able to activate the quest mob and killed him right in front of me. Seems like this is only affecting certain players?
Same issue here. First character and blocked from progressing further in the game. This is a progression blocker and extremely serious if its happening to more than just me.
It only worked for me when someone else showed up. Or I would still be stuck on that platform.
Same problem here…tried everything and nothing will work…
Trying on my paladin now and am getting the same issue. Unfortunately, no one else is around. 
Edit: I was JUST typing a report in-game and some random human came up and whacked him. It worked JUST fine for that person and I got the kill. But there IS an issue with this.
Having the same issues, have tried exiting the game and logging back in several times.
Totally stuck on this as well.
Someone came by and whacked him when I was afk for a min and I missed out on the kill. So apparently it works for some people.
Submitted a GM ticket and will see what they have to say.
After 4 days of trying a Night Elf Druid engaged while I was there.
killing myself fixed it for me.

Commiting suicide sadly did not work for me. Apparently my sins were not great enough to garner the attention of the great inquisitor. Wish blizzard would fix their game breaking bugs. I have encountered two in the last 2 weeks and still have no response on the first one, very disappointed in support for this game.
EDIT: you must die by a mob near the area it seems. I died but not in the same area, Tried dying agian today in the area next to him and it works.
