Blizzard it is time for a change. This dawned on me as I sat waiting and waiting in LFR for a second tank to join our group. It took forever-the tank shortage is well documented as everyone knows.

Why must every fight have two tanks?

Why not make them so that you can just have one?

It is very old, tired and boring that every fight is 2 tanks-4 or 5 healers-a bunch of dps.

And when in LFR, the lack of tanks is a killer!

We the players do demand an end to the two tank requirement! One tank is hard enough to find!!!

It is time for a change!

Every time I see a post saying “Stop/End/Get Rid of (random gripe) Now!” I always picture the OP crossing their arms and stomping their feet like my 3 yr old niece when she’s throwing a tantrum… :joy:

As a tank, I see the toxicity that non-tanks spew at tanks. It’s basically backseat driving at its best.

Sure…switching to one tank might speed up queues, but if toxicity is twice as bad since there’s only one tank to hear it all…maybe there will be less tanks around?

We the people deserve to be entertained. If you are gonna troll us then i think we deserve more than a skimpy paragraph devoid of facial abuse. I strongly urge you to reconsider and rewrite this injustice.

I mean something does need to change with the tank role. Its hard to become a tank and find a guild that needs main tanks. Its always full. So unless you want to always be stuck dps till a main tank rage quits a guild its hard.

I used to LOVE bear tanking. Then this started to get worse, to the point where I eventually stopped tanking. I don’t even like healing anymore - actually had a dps (who I’d like to add had his dps alt/friend on follow doing nothing) tell me my dps was too low while I was attempting to save us from an oopsie pull that came very close to wiping us.

When dps complain that there’s a tank/healer shortage, take a look at how you and your fellow dps treat us.

You’re right- I’ve always thought 2 tanking was boring. I LOVE fights that need 3 or more tanks. And that’s me speaking truthfully

I kind of like the trial by fire. You should be flamed until you’re a good tank. Keeps us rare and desired- unlike the billions of dps

It isnt a shortage its lfr and bad groups.

Tired of the tank shortage? Queue as a tank.

If you’re unwilling to do that, then sit down and wait.

Ah yes. Time to have… no tanks. As if finding tanks for M+ and… well, literally anything isn’t tough enough as is.

Help a tank that’s doing subpar, don’t chastise them. Unless, like you, you enjoy being a snowflake.

Also, don’t act like perfectly good tanks never get undeserved flak.

That’s the problem, considering that if there’s enough guild raid tanks that’s all that counts. There could be zero tanks for any other content, but always we see those voices telling us that if there’s enough tanks for guild raids, there’s enough tanks.

If dungeons matter, then devs need to find a way to support tanking. But I guess dungeons don’t matter, because clearly devs don’t care.

If anything, that’s an argument to have raids require more tanks.
