End the war on solo gameplay in WoW

It was only boring because of Blizzard design choices to make it take longer than it should have. Legion world quest was the best. And that had titan forge.

Even the world content quest, isn’t that long.

Because it’ll be at a level such that solo content overtakes other avenues by both ease and how long it takes. If it’s a chore, just remove it so people can have fun.

Delete everything outside of raids, m+ and PVP, Mage Tower, Torghast/Visions unironically.

We have other MMOs that prove this isn’t true, though. You can get the next best gear in FFXIV without setting foot inside a trial or raid difficulty-equivalent and people still participate in those trials and raids.

so not, “the best.”

Outside of one person, most people in this thread haven’t asked for the best. They’ve either asked for a higher item level than what they’re being given or a completely separate gearing/progression system. You’re focused on people arguing in bad faith rather than the people who have raised legitimate points.

They have stuff that’s stops just below LFR or equal to normal. Working as intended.

If that’s all you have to bring to the conversation (that being pointing out things nobody was really arguing against to begin with) then why participate to begin with?

So they don’t get the best gear in wow or ffxiv, what’s the issue with WOW doing the same?

I’d argue that in FFXIV you can pinpoint when you will be geared out which is a million times better than rng.

The best gear you can obtain in FFXIV without doing trials or raids would be somewhere within heroic raiding, whereas WoW’s is capped significantly lower. It’s not really the same thing.

Additionally, I would say that FFXIV offers a better experience for solo players than WoW does. WoW’s solo content consists of world quests and random mount farms, and that’s really it. People don’t really focus on the best gear being locked behind the hardest content because there are other things for them to enjoy instead. Things like the new farm, the many crafting/gathering jobs, the golden saucer, housing, etc. etc.

Which is why I’ve always said that if WoW were to offer more of a variety in solo content, I don’t think we’d be seeing this complaint as often as we do.

For a casual FFXIV is a god send.

So the profession revamp? And why would it be just below heroic raiding? It’s my impression that FFXIV has limited difficulty modes.

It’s going to be the same. The good gear needs bop mats from harder content.

but the profession themselves are redesigned to give solo players more to do.

The profession revamp that they aped from FFXIV? Yes, that profession revamp. I’ve been on record stating that Dragonflight is a slight return to form but it still needs to be expanded on.

Maybe so, but their progression is still tailored to them raiding and pvp. And if they don’t want that then what?

In FFXIV there’s loads more that they can do.

How does FFXIV’s farm compare to WOW’s discontinued farm? We had it during MOP.

I haven’t used it outside of the housing one, but I really enjoyed it. You could grow items to level up your Chocobo and change their color and also for culinary purposes which was fun. I haven’t seen the new Island Sanctuary thing, but I would imigine it’s very deep in terms of use.

You mean like back to what it was pre legion when it had the best sub numbers in its history?
