For some reason, it’s sad to me. I could be wrong.
It’s really the same concept as being an actor, musician, or comedian, they just don’t have some big company selling the tickets for them.
Actually, if you chose to keep up with what you were replying to, my comment was in response to someone making the opposite claim and I was making a point.
I think the word “solo” speaks for itself.
So now that you in fact have made a claim, how bout you link your supporting data? Or can we agree that people just vomit up what they think supports their claims
You can say that about any job. Restaurants close if they don’t get customers.
I have seen several definitions used.
- People who mostly avoid or never do group content for any reason. This group includes a lot of casuals who find other things to do with their time.
- People who do small group content like mythic+ but would prefer to play entirely solo, who thus want a comparable solo progression track.
If you do Mythic+ (regularly) you are not a solo player. period. full stop.
Neither of these definitions are correct.
Solo players and casual players are two different things. If you do mythic plus you aren’t a solo player.
I personally would agree. But I also see a number of players who would gladly switch to full solo play if there was a true solo progression track.
Imagine wanting to an MMO, to become a 1 player game…
I don’t see it like this. For few reasons.
As actor you get paid for you acting skills and most actor have some kind of school for acting, while streamers are literally lazy teenagers who don’t like the definition of having a job.
As well what actors do allot of stuff I can’t or don’t have access to, while all what streamers do I can do as well. By that I mean I can play the same game like they do.
Again it’s our fault that we made them famous for no god damn reason, and I hope one day social website and steaming platforms will crash to indefinitely
Me waiting for Elder Scrolls 6… lol
lmao… no. so very very wrong.
Adding a solo progression track would not turn wow into a single player game.
Well I look at from the perspective where I’m from, in USA they become actors coming straight out from prison. But again allot of famous actor have acting degree.
It does have solo progression. It’s just not as high as you want it. If it were to go high as you want it the majority of solo players wouldn’t be able to do it making it pointless to do.
Acting is like a lot of creative talents. A talented person who goes through a training process will learn more in-depth skills. But an untalented person will still be untalented and uncreative.
It’s like programming. Or game design. You can go to school for it. But will that make everybody a good game designer?
Curious how you read that into what I said. But it was what you wanted to read into it.
Does being able to formulate definitions transform people who do that into that which they have defined?
Litetally everyone’s job depends on how many people give them money. It’s called customers/clients. According to your standards everyone with a job is basically a panhandler. Forget about the time and effort content creators put into their work…
It’s “cringe” how many people would like to get paid for time and effort put into something that millions of people enjoy? That may be the most “cringe” take I’ve come accross in a while.
Stop defending them please. They are lazy jobless people who found a way to milk the stupid crowd and that’s it. That is their job.
No. I like what they do. They entertain me. That’s worth money to me. Just because you have, as the self-appointed arbiter of value in other people, decided you don’t like what they do, doesn’t mean it objectively is worthless.
Translation: “I read it on the internet so it must be true.”
It’s not really relevant, but this is a common misconception. Just because you go to school doesn’t mean you are undergoing intensive training. Even if you have no art talent, if you worked at it every day you would eventually become good. Most people that go to college just scrap by their classes and dont put any real effort into their targeted trade.
True skill comes from serious dedication with tons of hours spent on practice every day. Modern college just doesn’t reflect what’s necessary to reach that level of skill. It’s designed to be easy.
I have met countless people who screwed around in college and basically just wasted their money for a piece of paper.
I just think innate talent doesn’t really account for as much as people give it credit for. It gives you a different starting point, but its really all about how hard and dedicated you are to learning the craft.
