I was farming mud piles and a crate drop plane flew by… about 30 people flew into me dismounting me and proceeded to harm me in unimaginable ways lol.
I joined a crate raid one weekend after the cap was removed to get my last couple pieces. We actually did run into competing Horde raids. Fun but hard on computers.
Yeah, basically each faction focuses on their 3-4 crates they can get as quickly as possible without a fight.
While it is definitely fun and promotes social gameplay, crate farming undermines other forms of PVP because it is by far the most efficient way to gear.
How about no. The only enjoyable way to gear and still get the occasional fight in is crate farming and it’s the biggest W blizzard has handed to the player base in years for PvP.
No but I’ve been on the receiving end of it. Every time it’s just a raid flying around getting crates. The only PvP involved is said raid killing the poor people who didn’t realize our shard had a crate raid in it. Technically I suppose that is “PvP combat” in that one player is attacking another, but I wouldn’t consider it actually PvP gameplay.
Yes I’m sure there are times when 2 crate raids of opposite factions form on the same shard, but I can’t imagine one of them sticking around. People are going to leave after they lose a couple crates and join a different group as the purpose of crate farming is for conquest, not PvP.
Tbf I mostly just browse the forums to laugh at all of the people who get worked up about epic bgs/premades etc. ironically it’s the same 5-10 people everytime
