The event with the corrupted dragon will not trigger. After the short cutscene, the screen goes black and I am unable to progress the story quest, the screen just goes back to my body at the quest giver. My friend did the same quest at the same level (34) and it was completed with success. Any ideas?
Hi, did you ever find a work-around for this quest? I am being disconnected every time I try and do the quest, and was wondering if you figured out a fix

Ok found work around in another forum. Go to your network options in the game menu. Make sure to Unselect all 3 boxes. It should work then.

Can confirm, unchecked “Optimize network for speed” (the only option that was checked) and going back in it successfully loaded the event.

Thanks for this. How you found it out idk. But it worked. Funny enough, my other alts had no issue with this but my Zandalari Troll Druid did. Blizz should pin this or actually FIX the quest.
Tried the suggested fix and still crashes after the cut scene.
