I think its 12 months, not 16,and yes it does seem to cheapen the game when u can level with 40% exp bonus and transfer to classic era but yet players cant transfer from pve to pvp servers.thats why era is struggling, too many servers and restrictions to gather a player base.I waited 5 months for blizzard to open free transfers off a very dead rp pvp realm to go to a half decent pvp era realm.I mean i could be playing classic in 16 months since its the only version of the game i like but it really dont matter.also why would this offend you?
edit: i shouldnt use the term"cheapens the game" what i mean is its kind of a double standard how blizzard lets some things slide and not so much on others.just to clarify my stance on the issue, i just want the restrictions taking off of the server transfer for classic era.i really dont care how people get to 60 ,that should not define where they have to stay,and of course transfers should always remain free on classic era,our sub should pay for that!
Because those people that claim classic era is dead, dont play it.
There are raids to all dungeons every day, RP events in the evenings and weekends, guilds and reroll projects, its all there. Just the pvp part in the lower levels is less active, which means pvp usually happens during day time and not at night.
I personally dont like it, if SOM playes can transfer to era. Leveling is so much easier on SOM; so is the Rank 14 grind. It´s kind of unfair and equal to a shop service.
There should be one season realm, where from 2023 on people can move their season chars to, classic era, however should not be mixed up with those weird design choices by Blizzard for seasonal content.
Maybe next season they introduce some power Tier 5 set, or give Rank 14 after just 2 weeks of play, it would completely destroy anything at classic era, if those things would be allowed to carry over.

You won’t be playing classic era in a year. lol stop all the “easy leveling” crying nonsense, this game is easy, leveling is easy, raiding is easy. you didn’t earn 60, you had fun on the way there, if you didn’t have fun then you shouldn’t be playing.

You didn’t earn 60, you played a game. Other people getting to 60 via PVE, or SoM, doesn’t take away you fun, so stop acting like it does.
It’s 12 months, but they said it would likely be longer, but they’re not going to give you 2 months of Naxx and immediately shut it down. lol
BTW, you’re worried about things that might positively impact Classic Era in 12-16 months while Classic Era is DEAD, today, now, like right now. You’ve got your priorities all wrong.

SOM is the only thing that will bring an influx of more potential raiders/pvpers to the era server at the end of its cycle. These characters haven’t had years to farm naxx so they won’t be as geared so they are not going to hold a significant advantage over anyone on era.
If anything you would want them to have as much gear as possible to help you guys out, but regardless this is a positive for era. At the end of each season you will have more potential for moreplayers to help your realm.

That’s one of the least confusingly worded statements Blizz has put out in quite some time and it doesn’t mean either of the things you suggest it does.
Are you implying that season features will be introduced to Era? Because they won’t be. Era exists for one reason, the abandonware argument.
Era people posting on forums for more players….
