Enchants and the rising cost of pay to win

Lets just get this true statment of fact out of the way first. World of Warcraft is P2W.
It has been P2W fo a very long time now.

Now that that is out of way lets talk about the rising cost of basic items to even play the game. Before in shadowlands we had super expensive legendary base items which blizzard admitted was a mistake. Locking the averge player out of their best item is never a good idea. Lets face it the 99% arent running round with over 200k gold to spend.

And now it seems blizzard still hasnt learned instead this time making enchants ridiculously expensive. Now these enchants are absolutely needed to complete any form of content in the game. Not using them will get you kicked from any group and put you at a massive disadvantage to the 1% of toxic elitist that can afford them or people that five blizzard money ie P2W.

Blizzard needs to stop catering to the 1% and realize the vast majority of players do not want any barriers to entry or any sort of goal or challenge to overcome in game. The vast majority simply want to log in get our BIS items and not be gatekept by the toxic tryhards!

Thank as a casual player that speaks for the casual playerbase i hope blizzard will listen and remedy this massive issue

Enchants always suck at the beginning of expansions when everything is harder to get and there are fewer epics being disenchanted.

It’s also compounded by the fact that a disenchanted epic is no longer a guaranteed purple crystal unless you spec into it.

But it will inevitably get better later in the season.

I disagree with some of your points, but weapon enchants are ridiculously costly (to make and/or to buy). Wish we had a DF version of Celestial Guidance.

Lmao yes it is

It’s really not.

For example, there is no amount of money that I could spend to be a world first raider or rank one in arena.

Wow is not pay to win. It’s not even close.

No ones going to get kicked for using the cheap tier 2 or even tier 1 enchants this early in to the season. You don’t need to dump all of your money into tier 3 enchants.

Also, enchants and crafting services are priced by the community. Blizzard has no control over it.

Your entire P2W theory is bunk.

You dont invite discussion or debate by trying to cordon off discussion of points, and you especially dont do that by pretending to be whimsically unconcerned with it all.

I don’t think weapon enchants are particularly special from Blizzard’s part this expansion, compared with previous expansions. In SL we had this easy to craft one that turned out to be better than the expensive ones for many classes, but in general, weapon enchants are hard to craft.

Now, with the reworked professions system and quality levels for everything, prices have gone really, really high for some stuff. But that’s mostly players setting the prices.

What I blame on Blizzard, though, is the absurdly low chance to drop on some recipes (to be fair, that’s also not so new, but either they went too far this time or they need to do it different this time).

You were doing OK until this.

We’re two-chesting +8s-+10s last week… and none of us had anything enchanted, no gems in slots, didn’t use flasks, didn’t use potions.

“Entry” level content (normal raid, low M+) doesn’t REQUIRE any of this stuff.

You ruined your whole post with this obvious misrepresentation.

It does , if you dont have them you will be kicked and gatekept by the toxic elitist, they are alrdy spreading their toxicity and lies in this thread

24,720 achievement points.

How much did those cost you?

It’s not even close to pay to win.

The market will take time to balance out, way to early to be worried about costs on AH.

As a casual that plays the game the way blizzard intends (buying gold and carries) since the game is very much P2W, at least $25000

Might want to switch some of that money over to trolling lessons.

So what, like 5k for your sub over the last 18 years, so you have spent 20k, as a “casual” player?

I think near a dollar a achievement point for this P2W game is pretty reasonable. You can live in denial all you want but the simple fact is you can give blizzard money for gold and then buy any thing in game you want from items, leveling, achievements etc…that is 100% P2W
