Adding myself to this list, wanted to make my Evoker a weapon enchant and found out I couldn’t because “Target is too low level”.
Hope this gets fixed soon, thought it was just a ui bug on my end.

Can you even enchant anyone else’s gear in the trade window? As soon as you open that full page enchanting window it drops the trade window.

Okay, so it’s not just me. I’ve been going nuts trying to figure out why I can’t enchant vellums to send to my other characters. Happening to me too. “Target is too low level”. I thought my character was broken. Nope, just my profession…yikes

None of my Shadowlands enchants work and I want to send some to my new evoker and maybe sell some on AH. Checked my learned classic/cata/legion/bfa enchants and for the most part they all work. How have they not fixed this yet? Especially with the number of us having issues with these enchants?

some kind of something from Blizzard in the forums about this bug would have been nice. I didnt have the issue in Beta but some Beta issues have been brought over to retail now.

Blizz Article 320985. We have received multiple reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended. Currently, we do not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience while our developers work as quickly as possible to resolve the issue.
If you discover a new issue, please submit a new [Bug Report]. Bugs submitted in-game do not receive a personal response. Instead, they’ll be directed to the teams responsible for addressing them.

This is pretty awful at a time when a lot of people are gearing up their alts using the Prepatch event. I wanted to send some to my alts since they got slightly better gear, plus wanted to stock up the guild bank in case other people had the same ideas on gearing up their alts. I’ve always encouraged my guildies to keep up with enchants and gems (both by emphasizing how helpful they are to have and if I can, by providing them). Now I can’t even help them do that.
I’ve been using the SAME vellum since day 1. Why is it changed now? If they do have new vellums for new recipes (IMO, not even necessary as we’re going to have WAAAY too many mats to juggle anyway, and having to buy a bunch of different VELLUMS will not add to the fun) and Shadowlands is “old” content, why can’t I put “old” (i.e., Shadowlands) enchants on the OLD vellum?
We can’t even use the workaround of using older (say, BfA) enchants on new gear since the item level of the gear is TOO HIGH. So right now, we can’t enchant anything new!!!
At the very least, please acknowledge that this is a problem under known issues, and if possible, fix.

See my quote in this thread from Blizz, this is not intended behavior. Gear can still be enchanted in person using the trade window. Kinda hard on your own alts, but a guild mate or friend…

I submitted a ticket and was told to disable addons and reinstall wow. They’re just trying to sell WoW tokens to afford the overpriced enchants. GG Blizz. Fix it.

How do you do this now? When I open the new huge enchanting panel it closes the trade window with the person I’m trying to enchant.

I believe if you shrink the UI to its minimum size (65%) and buy a monitor that can support 2400+ pixels wide, you can fit both on.

I thought for sure this would have had to have been fixed by now but I tried again and it’s still broken.
