I’m a returning player. I don’t own Dragonflight.

I’ve been trying to work on enchanting, but it seems I need a Runed Enchanting Rod. I don’t have one in inventory, even though I have worked on Shadowlands enchanting in the past. From my searches, it seems like I need to have the Dragonflight expansion to do Shadowlands enchanting. Can this be real, and is this the case for any other professions?

Edit: I’ve looked through other enchanting recipes from older expansions, and they all require the same rod.

I believe that “Enchanting” in the Runed Enchanting Rod refers to any of the enchanting rod types. (So, a Runed Copper Rod — or Ultimate Gnomish Army Knife — will work just fine.)

One of the first items learned in vanilla enchanting is the copper ruined rod. Mats to make it are available from the vanilla enchanting supplies vendor.
