You added a shatter for gleaming shards down to dust. But we still need a shatter for Refulgent Crystals. It’s missing, and I don’t see it in my “unlearned” recipe’s anywhere either.
How was this missed this expansion? Enchanting always has the ability to shatter down to the previous “quality” material.
Is it even needed?
The scarcity of dust at the beggining was caused by the lack of craftable green junk among the tailoring recipes, meaning that you could mass produce blues for shards but greens were harder to come by.
So, if there’s no lack of blues to disenchant for shards and with crystals being more rare than shards by default, in what situation would you be incentivized to go “yeah, I got too many of these crystals, time to break them”?
Its absolutely needed, at current rate EPIC crystal will be cheaper than DUST by next week, that’s just not ok.
Its already that way. 200 gold for bronze level shard and 100 gold for a bronze crystal on my server.
They added half a shatter… Every other expansion since the Burning Crusade has had a Shatter Epic > Blue…
All this has done is drive the price of Blues up…
I mean I don’t really get into conspiracy theories but they clearly want to slow us down. They have had crystal shatters for years so I don’t think they just forgot it by happenstance.
I can’t crush crystals into shards, so I can’t get enough dust to do the patron orders without throwing tons of money at the AH. So that leads to me getting less acuity. So, I settle for the acuity and knowledge I get from weekly disenchants. I’m slowed down, so they win. Or, I buy a token, so they win again.
I’m just going to stay away from trying to rush professions. The patron tab is kind of a trap right now. At least, for enchanting.
I made a thread on this, but I also want an explanation on why they nerfed the DE rates to get rank 3 crystals/dust/shards.

I agree with this. I have tons of refulgent crystals and I need to be able to shatter them to get the lesser mats that seem to not be anywhere near as common when you get to lvl 80 and run lots of higher end stuff. It would be awesome to have this as it use to be something they did in the past. Like void shatter etc.
