Enchanting minimum tip rights?

What should the minimum tip amount be for Enchanting?

Nothing. A tip is the benevolance of the person. When you start demanding a minimum, it becomes a charge.

I think 1g unless it’s just someone leveling theirs up with crap enchants. I have been assuming tips were common. I have ported people, food/drink vending machine, done full shadoweave sets, enchants and often I get 0 or 1c lol. Some tip 1-4g and it’s very nice… only more than 1g for full sets of tailored gear tho.

I don’t think tip means what you think it means, buddy.

Minimum charge for enchanting? That’s up to you.

But if they don’t tip how will I afford to go to college and feed my 5 children!

That is called a Fee. So at that point it isn’t a tip anymore.

I tip for every service that isn’t just someone skilling up and not asking for anything. However, that’s a choice I make, plain and simple.

Withholding a service until you receive money for it means it’s a fee or a charge, not a tip. This is perfectly fine: they can pay you or get it somewhere else. but the minimum charge, in this case, is whatever you deem to be fair that someone else is willing to cough up.

Glad I don’t do enchanting and have to deal with cheapskates anymore.

Someone did commission me for an engineering item though and gave me absolutely nothing. I used some of my own mats too.

Yeah I’m gonna cancel the port if they wont trade at least the regent cost lol. It’s not a charge, btw it’s not a tip or a charge to pay at least what the mage is costing themselves lol. 20s port, not a charge. not even a tip

I didn’t mean to delete my post.

Just saying that it is a charge.
I could give you the port for free. Or charge them the price of the mats. Or more depending.
Or you don’t charge and hopefully they are not a dick and they tip.

I don’t want to know do I?

Don’t you mean charge not tip. I only tip if your work meets or exceeds my expectations. If you want to know minimum charge. Just add up the price of all items need that you sell in AH. Now you have your price. Now lets negotiate a price. I think you charge to much in AH.

How are they supposed to know your non universal unwritten rules?

Those are not rules. There options.

If you want a guaranteed amount for a service, this is a charge or fee that should be announced at the beginning so the other person is aware of it.

A tip (also called a gratuity) is a sum of money customarily given by a client or customer for the service they have performed in addition to the basic price of the service . Note that it is entirely up to the person requesting the service whether a tip will be provided, as well as how much.

Personally, I don’t charge for services as long as all materials are supplied. I don’t buy materials if they are not sufficient without the purchaser knowing they are short and they agree to absorb the cost. If they decide to provide a tip, that is up to them.

Depends on the level of the enchant. 10-25 silver is a pretty decent tip. If it’s a rare enchant that required farming and isn’t easy to get yet, maybe a gold.

The minimum of course is 0.

If you are acting like a punk about unspoken tips, then it is a rule. It isn’t that difficult to understand. Did you graduate high school?

If you are asking for a tip, you’re doing it wrong.

Tips are discretionary. If you want to charge people you should do that.

This is like forcing a person to tell you that they love you, and then wonder why they ‘lied’ to you.
