Enchanting invites add-on ban?

Wrong, blizzard supports the usage of addons. While they will not help in the creation of an addon, they won’t do anything to stop it, as long as it doesn’t violate their “Addon Development Policy” which is a forum you can read detailing generally what can and can not be used in an addon. Most if it is anti soliciting, don’t advertise, don’t be obscene, etc.

This one might be brought up by you or mastalock, so ill bring it up first.

I can see you guys saying something about how it negatively affects you by spamming the chat system. I feel like what blizzard means by spamming is spam coming from 1 person, not multiple people running the same addon, otherwise addons like DBM, which will notify via say of something could be considered spam as there are mechanics that will constantly go out on people, and then each person will say something in say.

I know Gurtogg will be a fight that does this as people will say “BB on me” or some variation of that, and then say “Next”. Thats 5 people saying 2 lines of communication every 10 seconds for 50 seconds. Thats 25 total lines of communication in 50 seconds, but that wouldn’t be considered spam.

So no, before you go off on it, I already have for you.

You know damn well that:

1: Inviting is not gameplay and
2: by facilitating gameplay they are using it as a “cover all that we haven’t mentioned” with the aforementioned “hacking, cheating, botting” prior to it. Its a legal “catch all” phrase. Lets look at say, ICC world first. Bombs reformed the throne and voided a mechanic. This is an exploit. Say someone created an addon that would notify you of when to bomb to maximize this exploit. That would be facilitating gameplay, as its making the game easier via an exploit.

Inviting someone is not the same as that.

No, youre not. You think you are, but you aren’t.

So I was right in calling you a coward in the other thread. Coward.

And he created an addon that helped a million players.

See I can make up random numbers too.

But he probably has helped more than he’s hurt.
