Retail player here, almost max level on Classic for the first time.
Just wanted make sure, there’s little reason to make an alt with enchanting, right? Cause without vellum from Inscription in BC I can’t enchant the gear of an alt, right?

Correct. I really wish they’d at least give us BoA vellums.
Lvl 5 alt can disenchant any quality item in the game, so theres some value in being able to send stuff to your enchanter DE bank alt.
But correct there are no vellums to enchant your mains gear.
Unless boe can send then enchant and send back
The perk is being able to save mat cost by providing them yourself in that case, so still worth it.
One main reason I have a second account is to enchant my Main from second account.
Before you get too carried away with enchanting, bear in mind that you can’t level it past like 225 or so basically until max level.
This is due to the trainer being located inside of the Uldaman instance, so any time you want to learn new enchants you have to go in there, which most people don’t typically don’t want to do, let alone wait for you to complete your business with the trainer.
So you’ll probably have to wait until 60 to progress beyond that point once you can reasonably solo your way to the trainer.
Two reasons you might want an alt with enchanting.
One is to disenchant things. This is especially true if you make a hunter alt to solo Dire Maul tribute runs you’ll want to be able to disenchant all the gear you get. This can make it significantly more profitable especially the green weapons which have about a 75% chance of giving you 1-2 greater eternal essence.
The other reason is if you have your alt on a second account.
