How exactly do I use this encapsulated destiny , the way I read it I enter a time rift, kill the boss at the end, go back and stand in front of Soridormi and right click on it. But I don’t want to screw up and lose it

You use it anytime before you complete the time rift, and it gives you extra loot for completing it. You don’t need to be around Soridormi.

You mean before I start the time rift while I’m waiting for it to start or while I’m in the time rift ?
Using it gives you a permanent buff that stays even when dead, that guarantees the loot.
It gives you a character buff that doesn’t have a duration, so it doesn’t really matter. Just don’t accidentally cancel it by clicking the buff.
Wait what ? I don’t right click on it while it’s in my bag ? Totally confused now
You use the item in your bag to get a buff that has no duration and persists through death. But like any buff, you can right-click to remove it…so don’t do that. Here are screenshots of me using one to get the buff in Valdrakken to illustrate.

Not anymore it doesn’t. That was a bug that got fixed.
And now, it doesn’t even guarantee loot. So they fixed one thing and broke it another way.
