Ghosts are capable of floating/flying, so I’m not sure why they can’t fly all the time… :ghost:

Also on point, When you die in Icecrown you get to fly as a ghost.

And Suramar. Several other places too.

Mostly a lot of corpse running over the years. Had to get a GM involved one time when I died halfway up that thing in Borean with the dungeon everyone hated. I must’ve fallen off somehow. Couldn’t get back up there while dead.

GM had to move my corpse to the gy for me after listening to me complain about no corpse-flying there.

They don’t want us exploring areas that are inaccessible to ground based travels at least for now, flying as a ghost lets us do just that.

I remember a comment made by someone from blizz where they said in game death should have a consequence, both financially (gold for repair), and time (running back to corpse). Those are in place to encourage you to be more careful with pulling mobs and when figuring out the best path down from a height. If everyone could fly while dead then what use would the nightelf wisp racial have?

Yeah! I am super special and I die in all kinds of ridiculous places because I tend to push too far. Dying on the side of a drop off can mean several trips of falling to my corpse because I’m too far from the top or bottom. And finding the twisty path back to your body is such a drag.

Please let us fly when dead.

I assume this thread is referring to Darkshore, in which my wisp cannot fly. Which is stupid, since I myself can fly in that zone.

Actually just in general, I was going to Gnomeregan on this guy to do a quest and I got butchered by the Gnome guards. The run back wasn’t pleasant and I just thought it’d be nice to bypass these mountains by flying over them.

For Uldar, they introduced ghost flying mounts… There is no reason this can’t be implemented everywhere you die…

I think the issue is that flight while in ghost form has never been enabled by default.

Are there any inaccessible areas, as opposed to just plain annoying ones? And does it matter if we see some empty grey landscape?

Yes, it sucks being in ghost form having to find a way up a hill to get back to corpse.

At the very least let me traverse rough terrain like freaking hills and cliffs as a ghost.

In Legion, when you got flight, you could fly as a ghost. There was a section within Suramar where you could fly as a ghost, but it was terrible since it would just unceremoniously dump you out of flight as well.

I’m sure once we can fly in BfA we’ll be able to fly as a ghost as well.

Yeah, but it moves faster then everyone else ghost form. That’s why it’s a racial ability. Its slightly faster.

I should have been more clear about wisp movement speed increase over everyone else ghost form. Not that it flies. Anyways, that’s their racial so enabling flight for everyone else basically makes that racial 100% useless other then a visual that nobody really wants to see because you’d rather not die in the first place.

And nerf the NE racial of being able to get back to your corpses faster?!? Sorry but that is crossing the line!
