One of the issues is that the more they hold out for players to pay real money to be able to play the game the way they want to, the higher the percentage of players remaining on those “dead servers” are happy with them.
So, where should I be transferring nowadays then? I used to love Wyrmrest Accord, was great for walkup RP. I started on Lightning’s Blade, then transferred to Gnomer to be with friends, then to Black Rock cause they wanted population. Then they all stopped playing during Cata, so I moved to WrA for RP and loved it until… Well… Just frequently actually, came back to a dead game for Dorgonfright.
I’m getting quite sick of this constant transferring cause they haven’t learned about server mergers.
Idk about other servers but I don’t think many are dead. Do you even realize how massive the world is now? How many things there are to do? No longer do we need to fly circles around Shattrath or Dalaran. There’s things that need doing.
I play on:
Stormrage
Illidan
Turlyon
Feathermoon (which I chose because it’s a low pop server)
Argent Dawn
Doomhammer
Proudmoore
and a couple others.
I definitely notice a huge difference between the first two and the rest on my list, but even on the slower ones I see people regularly.
Note: I’m not disputing your assertions necessarily. It’s just how I experience things
… It’s Monday morning.
People are at work/school on one end of the country and just waking up on the other. It’s the day before resets so people who’ve done their weekly goals have done so.
I’m talking about all month I’ve been back.
I know dogs live in the moment, but aren’t foxes also part cat or something?
I stated at least once in thread I’ve done /who numerous times during the weeks, and it’s still rather lacking in promise.
Not to mention there’s barely any RP events posted, which means the community has likely migrated.
wyrmrest accord has 4252 horde 1226 alliance max level toons who been in a guild that has done a raid boss…
Emerald dream is 2nd highest with 3404 horde 2105 alliance
this info is off wowprogress which isnt the greatest data but its some data atleast.
illidan has 30656 horde 1413 alliance for comparison
so your on the best rp horde server you can be, just the numbers are low so thats what your seeing =(
What exactly do you do? I have characters on Sentinels, which sees characters from your realm and just a few others. All of these are now dead realms. The only place you see any other players is in Valdrakken.
All low pop realms are essentially dead. A new player will probably not see another player while leveling on those realms. But great for warmode bonus, I guess.
A lot of things are at stake here, which I can’t go into detail about. But I don’t mind the empty realms. Something I’ve been use to since 2016.
Understood, I mostly do the same.
Just saying you can find players to quest with from other servers making which home server you’re on less relevant.
Moonguard. You’ll find plenty of buzzing activity.
Yeah, but it’s like, hard when you’re looking to RP and the RP community has up and moved on. Lol.
I also understand it’s a content draught, but even during SOO the lil’ tavern town we stayed in was overflowing with folks. And that content draught didn’t have little spatterings of stuff like it does this time.
We should’ve had mega servers added years ago.
No, no it does not lol
I thought this was a bad server? Eh… I don’t even know anymore.
Isn’t that the “bad” place? lol
There have always been more dead servers than huge servers. Did you just start?
What greener pastures?
Then don’t, see ya.
That’s all about one particular spot. If you can ignore the hype and try it out, you might find that the rest of the server is just fine.
You’re a load of fun, level 10 gnome hunter. I wanna play just cause yer a spiteful lil’ bincle.
In fact, I wanna start ten thousand threads, whingin in every one.
Hope to see ya there.
Don’t fall for the illusion that a high population server is a bad place. The only “bad” place, yet seems remarkably chill, is Goldshire. You go there to goof off, say “hi” to some familiar faces, and leave. There may be that one individual to whisper you something weird, but it’s one heck of an easy block.
