Can you make supply crates not require the items to be turned in again but it only gives rep.
My idea to it, make it cost some silver/gold to only get rep, no exp, no gold, but they are able to be turned in without the completed crate.
So the lvl 1 crates would be the empty crate and cost 5s
The lvl 2 crates would be empty crate and cost 20s
The lvl 3 crate would be empty crate and cost 1g
Etc.
The idea is to give an option for turning in the crates for rep that can be done even if the economy is ridiculous. For example some crates average almost 50g for AH priced items to complete the crate, which is fine, IF there is alternative options.
This would drive down the cost people will post these items on the AH for to make them more reasonable because people can choose to use the crate and raw gold to just get rep, or finish the crate for gold, exp, and rep.
This would make a reasonable middle ground for empty crates being useless, and filling crates being to expensive.

I hope we see something like this.
- want a small amount of rep? turn in the empty supply crate
- want a small amount of money? vendor the empty supply crate
- want a larger amount of rep, a larger amount of money, and some experience? turn in the fulfilled supply crate

I’m not paying all that gold to fill the crates. I just vendor them for 20s. The only ones ive turned in is the bandage ones.

I just hit 38 and have like 6 just sitting in my bank waiting to be filled

yeah, the ones I’ve seen so far are not anything I’m even going to attempt to fill. 20s it is then I suppose for now and hope they don’t out much more on that vendor haha

Its week one, nobody has leveled their profession slave toons yet. 8 Purple Lotus will be nothing in a month.
Is there a point for the new crates yet? There’s no new rep rewards, right?
If I could turn hostile to the new faction, I would.
I’m stuck at 500/3000 to friendly and all the crates I’ve gotten so far require more gold than I have to fill.

That’s what I’ve been doing. It’s like 90% of them though…
(I’ve only filled and turned in one, and even that didn’t feel worth it).
Yeah that change was dumb. Got alts to friendly just doing empty crayes. Now i got a bank full of trash boxes
This was the problem.
The entire point of the crates was to make professions more interesting other than just the “big ticket items”.
But people just ignored them and turned in the empty ones.
You can call it bad design if you want, but that was the design point.
And then you have stuff likeEPIC PURPLE STYLISH SHIRT. Which is a world drop recipe… going for 200g on WG. And each item (you need 5) is being sold for about 2g a pop. For a crate.

Well, professions are more interesting, to the point it’s better not to fill the boxes because you make more gold selling the items to go into it than you get as a reward for turning them in.
Which is the point.
You trade gold for rep.
If the person with the profession wants the Rep they fill and turn in the box, if they want money they vendor the box and sell the items.
600 rep vs 50g is not a fair comparison.
