no, the majority of the workforce can’t work remotely. there are some jobs that simply can’t be done at home.
But you aren’t referring to those kinds of skilled labor jobs. You are insulting people who have jobs that do not REQUIRE being in an Office(meaning that everything they do can be done remotely), for not being in an office because of some vague lip service to “community”.
You aren’t arguing about jobs that require you to be physically present onsite or you can’t physically do the job. you are arguing about people taking Customer Service phone calls in a call center.
It’s silly on its face because you are trying so hard to convince people that it is about “community” when it is really just about Real Estate Value and has nothing to do with “community” at all.
It like those generic anti-union training videos where the solely-profit-driven uncaring faceless corporation refers to its employees as “family” 600 times while refusing to pay them well or offer high-quality benefits. It’s laughable.

No. Just pointing out that you are few and far between when it comes to the Lionshare of the workforce. Hybrid scheduling is actually picking up more in popularity than completely WFH.
You don’t live in a vacuum. You depend on your community just like everyone else.
Feel free to burn your money if you want. Doesn’t change the fact that California is far more fascistic than Florida will ever be.

I personally like Elon’s take of WFH… The actual hubris of those people who think that they are so special that they should get to WFH when the people who deliver their food, do their dry cleaning, gardeners etc et all don’t get the ability to do so. Great interview honestly.
