"Employee of the Month" - just a secret achievement? Or is it bugged?

One of the achievements added in the last patch is “Employee of the Month” connected to the C.H.E.T.T. cards:

That achievement, in turn, is one of two alternative methods for earning this one:

So how do you become Employee of the Month? No one knows still. Is it just a secret that requires grinding beyond what the wowhead commenters have done for the past weeks? Maybe. Or is it maybe broken in some fashion that no one can tell? Also maybe.

Keep in mind, the only thing people can think of trying with this thing involves grinding chett cards harder and longer. This isn’t like one of those fel cycle secrets where you’ve got teams of people working off of various clues and cross checking against the rest of Azeroth, with a big variety of approaches.

Given how long the patch has been out at this point, with no one getting this achievement and wowhead commenters having grinded a pretty ridiculous amount for quick consistent, daily turn-ins, seems like this merits an indication from Blizzard at this point as to whether the thing is bugged, and if not, a hint as to what people on wowhead or the secret finding discords and the like are missing.

I’m guessing it has more to do with something over the course of an entire month, which we’re just now starting to be able to do. A card turnin every day for a whole month would suck so that doesn’t sound right.

Whatever the method is, it’s gotta be easier than the 100x chett lists. Otherwise it would be completely stupid and pointless to even implement, no one would take the harder route.

Well, you’ve also got the potential issue (as silly as it seems) that because the achievement doesn’t actually describe what it requires, you might have someone earn it without being sure what breakpoint they reached that actually triggered it.

Well after read all the post in other places. I think their maybe 1 of 3 ways to get it.
Do every C.h.e.t.t. quest each week 1 of the 4 faction in undermine in a month.

The other way is to wack the other 40 employees to become the only employee. making you the employee of the month by default.

The last way is a shot in the dark . Maybe bride your way to be the EoM. How i don’t know but i find it odd we are still getting car parts that we don’t need.So if we turn them into the Chett. We become the EOM.

I was reading this stuff. I really think that each Chett turn in has a secret number attached, and when someone hits the appropriate secret number, they become employee of the month. there is only one number per month, so only one employee per month.

You just need to work harder. It is within your grasp.

Some folks have obtained it as of now, but it’s apparently a vanishingly small number and none of them claim to have any idea how they got it. I wonder if it’s treated like an actual hidden ‘contest’ where you’re competing against other players (or ‘employees’) in order to get it. It may not have to do with simply turning in x number of lists per day/week/however long a ‘pay period’ is, but rather turning in the most lists.

…or it could just be a random very low chance when turning in a list. Or bugged to be a lot rarer than intended. It’s still a Feat of Strength, but who knows with Blizz these days.

Looking back, I nailed it with this comment. The very few people that got it aren’t really sure what the break point was.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure this is the correct answer. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when people are getting it, so I suspect it’s basically just randomly picking players.

I really, really hope it isn’t something like, “only one person per realm gets it each month” kind of nonsense. Although, considering only 0.02% of the playerbase who has it (or something like that), I’m beginning to think that might actually BE how it’s working.

Just a simple bugged or not bugged would be greatly appreciated, Bliz.

Wasn’t it revealed just a couple of weeks ago? They said you had to turn in a chett list every day for 30 days.

I’m fairly certain that method was disproven. It seems like anyone who actually got the achievement have no idea how they triggered it.

A handful of people have it, but no one can figure out what they actually did to trigger it

Assuming no one’s leaving false comments on wowhead or the discord to troll, some have done a chett list every day for 30 days and not gotten it.

What that means is maybe they started their 30 days at the wrong time, and the “month” you have to put in must line up exactly with a calendar month. However, the timing of when the first person got it was a few days before the end of April, so they didn’t have to put in every day for that month specifically.

Maybe someone’s misremembered something. Maybe the month you have to do it does start on day number 1 of a calendar month, but triggers four weeks into that not requiring exactly 30 days, while at the same time not providing completion to anyone starting halfway through a calendar month?

And of course, there’s also the possibility that some bug has afflicted the achievement in some way that isn’t entirely clear. Blizzard could instantly dispel any doubt by just posting “here’s the criteria.”
