Hey, guys! Life can be stressful sometimes, so I’d like to talk briefly on ways to mitigate the feeling of emotional distress during the moments life gets a little overwhelming.
Step 1: Cut out any outside stressors. A quiet space is the best kind to calm down in.
Step 2: Take a deep breath. Controlled breathing can help slow your heart rate and allow you to ground yourself.
Step 3: Relax. Do some stretches to release some of the physical stress you have built up.
Step 4: Organize your thoughts. Gather yourself until you feel calm enough to be around others.
Step 5: Talk to somebody. A family member or a therapist can be great choices to help you sort out your emotions.
Step 6: Manage your stress. Find what makes you happy and learn to focus on it to keep yourself in a good mental state.
We all get stressed out. Don’t let it defeat you. If you find yourself getting upset over the little things, there are probably some bigger issues in your life you need to tackle. Be good to yourself and figure out what is really getting to you. I hope you all have a wonderful day!
