I want to address a topic that’s very near and dear to my heart. I am, of course, speaking of emote macros in pvp. I know some of you may think this is a laughing matter, but I assure you it is not. You don’t understand how hurtful it is when, as I am casting my frostbolt for a shatter combo on you, you feel the need to /spit or /laugh spam before you are blasted into oblivion. It truly damages my psyche to have /golfclaps spammed as I sit in iceblock waiting for cooldowns, or for enemy premades to shout macro such crippling phrases as “You are an evil Korean” as they grind for their 5th hour of WSG. I feel like I have been attacked, personally, by a level 70 prot warrior because these text macros are absolutely devastating, and I am sure I speak for everyone who has ever been victimized by these horrible macros. I ask that you please reconsider before using these prepared macros in pvp, because while you may believe that they are total jokes and everyone who sees you use one immediately identifies you as a toolbag, in reality you are really hurting us with your words in this video game and it’s just a matter of time before we are defeated forever by your clever macroing.
Uh, in short, something something microaggression, something something triggered. Let’s create a hashtag for this and get it trending. #SupportForMacroSurvivors.
I’ve seen alliance yell very offensive things in pvp while playing horde. Its not just the “You Lo se” they yell. They yell some pretty disgusting things that I cant mention here or else I’ll get flagged or edited by a mod.
From what I’ve seen, they’re getting these cross faction insults from a certain youtube video that shows you how to do so. They use alt codes and special characters to generate such profanity and use /yell with them. Some of the alt codes change into normal letters when used across faction.
The people who do this nonsense should be muted or have a temporary ban. The reason why the different languages exist across faction in the first place is to keep this kind of stuff from happening and keep the factions from throwing insults at each other.
So using this across faction /yell nonsense is straight up exploiting the chat. And its exploiting the chat in order to throw some very nasty and disgusting and hurtful insults at the other faction.
This should be a pretty big offense and Blizzard should take some action on the offender’s account, either mute them for a while or give a temporary ban, IMO
I do, I like to know if I’ve annoyed someone in the BGs enough that they start spitting on me. Actually makes me smile since I’m not really very good at PVP, just tenacious and annoying.
Now the ones that just spam something like that aren’t worth the time to even pay attention to. There’s one player I’ve run into several times that just spams the spit emote, not particularly surprisingly they also have a name that could probably be reported for the reference it makes. Those are just not worth my time.
I did have a Tauren warrior the other day using the “xxx says a prayer for you” as she cut me down which was nice and different. I’m pretty sure it was macro’d to the execute command.
I use macros translated I hope mine didn’t hurt your feelings. If so accept my sincerest apology. Also the next time you all jump me at once killing me… this hurts my feelings.
Mage crying… aren’t you part of the clique that coined the very unique and clever /roar emote everytime you cast frostbolt? That or /train before sheep?
