Sitting near Sindragosa outside the Azure Halls dungeon, I would KILL to play as that sized dragons as an alternate form for my Dracthyr!
I remember a quote by the great tony stark to steve rogers.
âEverything special about you came out of a bottle.â
When i think about dracthyr i think about that quote. Idk why.
I want green dragon visage forms.
Itâs a good quote, but he was also very wrong. He was saying it to be hurtful.
We know what made Steve special wasnât in the bottle, because the next guy to get the stuff in the bottle was garbage.
Honestly, Iâd love to just get that as an option. Remove the saddle and just have it use whatever your Dragonriding mountâs customizations are?
Or heck, even if all you could choose was the overall scale color.
Either way, I would ADORE that option. I still find the Dracthyr themselves to seem quite alien, even amongst all the other dragons and dragonkin of this expansion. I enjoy their gameplay, though. Being able to become a full blown dragon (even one that is very small), I would be SUPER freaking stoked to play one.
Iâve suggested it before, but perhaps as an unlockable form from the Mage Tower?
Emmigosa looks like our drake mount and has that same creepy Ghostbusters dog look. They did a terrible job on these new drake models, imo.
Hah, I do kind of see the âdogâ comparison. I can agree, I could maybe see them standing a bit more âuprightâ, and less of their elbows sticking out a bit to their sides, it does give them kind of a âbulldogâ look.
Still though, I actually dig them overall. They actually look like what I would imagine a âplayable dragonâ to look more like.
Especially if they could unlock something like the Elite PvP mount coming in season 1. Thatâs maybe a bit overly ambitious, but it looks freaking sick either way!
Itâs the chest and front leg position when âat restâ that gives that vibe.
With that said I think the drake might look a fair bit better with a more âprimalistâ elemental theming
Weâll never see a four legged playable race in this game.
Eh, I dunno. I donât really see a compelling reason against it.
The Dracthyr canât wear armor. They are, in all honesty, the worst of both worlds. But if you opened up their Visage form to other races, you could afford to treat their âTrue/Dragon formâ as something a bit closer to Druidsâ various forms.
So still being able to run around as a normal race, wearing normal armor. But if youâre in combat, or using certain skills, youâre a dragon.
I donât really see any particular difficulty in that design. Itâs a purely visual distinction, and clearly the Dracthyr proved Blizzard is willing to have a playable âraceâ that canât actually wear armor.
The gladiator one looks dope, but I doubt Iâm going to push past 1800, not with pugs.
They have four legs. Too many variables. Flightpaths are an issue. Fitting in buildings is an issue. No mounts is an issue. (Yes, people will complain a race doesnât have a mount.) The list goes on.
Well if they can become an actual dragon, I think you would just treat it exactly like a Druid form. When using mounts, flightpaths, or even just animations that wouldnât make sense as a dragon (like crafting), have the player automatically revert to their âVisageâ form.
You missed the point. Them flying isnât the issue. Them not having a racial mount is the issue. People flipped out when Worgen didnât have one. They had to add the horses later on.
And classes are an issue. Along with the other pretty blatant issues.
Four legged races just arenât going to happen in this game.
Honestly, I donât think Iâve played an MMORPG that has a four legged race.
