I understand all of this, and that’s exactly what I’m doing.
I’m still clearing these things, it’s just 10x more annoying than it was yesterday.
edit: it really is just those anubvir packs. have to pray you don’t pull the whole thing

Yeah, instead of providing feedback and waiting for things to get fixed lets lay on our bed, fire up the forums and cry instead. That will get it fixed even faster.
Just uninstalled. I can’t believe they messed up delves this hard. Not going to play a game that’s essentially still in PTR. Time to go back to classic.
delves are dead now! one of the game pillars killed in 1 night hotfix.
You’d be surprised how many times Blizzard broke under pressure from the forums and Reddit being spammed with threads criticizing poor game design. For example, the pre-patch event. The first iteration was so bad that the forums and Reddit got flooded with hate threads and the NEXT DAY, Blizzard announced a complete overhaul of the event.
Feedback is always required, but pressure is as well.
Not exclusive to delves the whole expansion is in beta.
No joke you couldn’t even complete the campaign on the beta until like 2 weeks before launch, because of bugs.
So may as well stay there.
That said the current changes are closer to balance than the free loot groups had before.
Fix this trash hotfix.
Blizzard please don’t bow down to pressure from the people who just want to steam roll devles in groups for welfare epics while soloists still have to slog through them. Thank you for equalizing things.
There’s a flaw to caving, and we’re seeing now, you dial something back, or up, the people that were happy will start crying, because you can’t please everyone. This is only because their tuning has felt like it’s been in beta in a few areas. Delves being one of them.
But who did they cave to? The main complaint was that solo delves were disproportionately harder than delves with 2+ people. In response, they made group delves much harder and barely touched the solo delves (in many ways, even made them harder).
I don’t think they ever tuned the content in beta, they spent most of the balance time tweaking hero talents. With the way dungeons and scaling have been idk why anyone is surprised Delves were too easy too when scaled
Sadly they didn’t even get that right either. I still have several talents failing to actually take effect
Its best to just uninstall and come back for season 2 when they make changes (nothing will change)
Non working talents? Doesn’t surprise me if so. Again the story campaign was incomplete on beta until the last few weeks. There were 2-3 quests that people couldn’t do not just one either. Some people got past some only to get stuck elsewhere. Balance probably barely crossed their mind when the frickin campaign wasn’t even working still.
Scaling issues were probably the last thing on their mind to actually look at.
Yea, my point is if they had things properly tuned from the beginning, that would have avoided all of this, and yea to an extent, when you look to please one group, it could effect another, and you’re stuck not able to achieve harmony between the two. Though I’d wager that would be natural anyways.
From what I understand they did say group delves were tuned improperly. So, the easy group delves weren’t their target tuning, but since people got used the easy delves, they’re now angry because they have to work harder, or it’s a gear check limit.
It’s really important to have the balancing correct in the begining. Maybe cave isn’t the right word, but from what I’ve seen they have been more prone to changes based on feedback.
Makes me wonder if that world scaling adjustment they did at the start of TWW messed up Delve balance
Padgarre solved it! I want a cookie!
here here!
Someone probably said this before (I only skimmed through it to get the gist)…
What I see is the real issue is an appearance of absolutely no common sense on Blizzard’s part. How is it possible that a person working on these would think that allowing mobs to have enormous health pools while giving the player a very small fraction of that health, and then making the mobs hit you for say 1/3 of your health per hit and you get 9 hits in a row…is a good idea?
Maybe I’m just too old and I just don’t understand this younger generation?
The point is any reasonable person would know that type of challenge is reserved for very skilled players. It’s been impossible to get past lvl 3 for me and I really want to solo them.
Well it’s always worked that way it just weird when numbers get this large.
If we had 1k health mobs would still hit proportionally as hard as now and have a proportional amount of health.
Even with smaller numbers, the game would stay balanced the same way since it’s all proportional.
It’s mostly a mental thing I doubt like most people enjoy having huge numbers outside of damage which is sorta cool but the problem is everyone has a big number so it’s sorta irrelevant.
You’re wrong. The mobs hit harder than players have health. At 603 ilevel I won’t have 20 million hp.
