Emerald wardens Rep impossible to farm

That wouldn’t be the same at all. You can’t be seriously comparing an open world questing zone to a faction city.

And there are guard now at the quest area so what’s the issue?

Of course it wouldn’t be the same, but I’m asking for an explanation as to why guards shouldn’t be eliminated and everybody permanently flagged in capital cities.

If somebody complained about that, why wouldn’t the answer to them be “It’s PVP happening on a PVP server”?

The inability to answer this exposes the gaslighters.

The point being made here is that there’s nuance as to what makes PVP servers function properly. Simply just declaring that PVP is happening on a PVP server is a cop out, and a disingenuous argument.

WPvP was never the everything or nothing wild west experience annoying forum trolls make it out to be; the original classic team always was careful to design content in a way disincentivized or made impossible hardcore griefing; as other posters have said city guards and Sanctuary zones are two big examples of regulating PvP servers to not make the gameplay experience miserable for people.

The WPvP element was just one of the many aspects of this event the SoD team didn’t consider the implications of, and botched horribly. The way everything is chokepointed around the quest NPC and the portal incentives the most degenerate kind of griefing.

Thing is the PvP that happens in the quest areas outside the portal is a much better experience; its spread out enough that you don’t usually have raid groups camping it, so there’s lots of spontaneous PvP occuring between individuals or smaller groups, and players can always just go do quests in another area. It more of the classic WPvP experience and it gives players more options than “dude just start a discord and organize a raid of forty level 50 players” so you can quest at 8 a.m.

Nothing will ever top Hillsbrad and STV pvp from early launch Vanilla in 2004. The only thing that comes close is the Tarren Mill brawl they have in retail where it’s just a massive group against a massive group deathmatch. Why they don’t make it an actual BG, who knows, they are completely inept at PVP design.

There are quests at level 50 that reward 100 rep and also include a daily for 1000 rep. If you are doing ashenvale exclusively for the rep farm you’re doing it wrong.

I have no idea what everyone is crying about. I have a full time job, spend plenty of time with my wife and kids and have 2 50’s honored with the dream, a 46 and have done tons of PvP. I do not feel delayed at all. I had a blast, I killed and got killed a lot! lol. After all it is a PvP server and really no one on a PvP server should be complaining about efficiency. Seriously try a PvE server and turn on PvP mode or go play retail with warmode on.

It doesn’t hurt their bottom line. I was pushed out of ashenvale incursions and didn’t touch them when I leveled my first 40-50. Players have other options, stop acting like you’re unable to do anything else. There’s also more than one zone for incursions if you need rep. Factions controlling contested zones is exactly how pvp servers work. And if players can’t get access because of another faction, move somewhere else. Multiple times in phase 2 I tried questing in some hotspots, but horde controlled it. I moved to another spot that was ultimately slower and inefficient for quests. THATS HOW PVP SERVERS WORK, stop crying.

No one is reading all that text gooner!!! Stoppit!

Yep I was right, low level loser that complains about everything. Imagine rolling on a pvp server and crying when you get pvp’ed.

If I find u ur getting camped.

Ashenvale is the worst incursion to farm rep at besides duskwood. Why are so many people choosing to do ashenvale at 50 instead of feralas or hinterlands?

Your momma raised you right.

Horde does they same stuff so don’t try to act like it’s only Alliance.

There are no sanctuary zones in classic my guy

If you complain about pvp when you are on a pvp server then you shouldn’t bother complaining in the first place. If you dislike world pvp then you should have rolled PVE.

pvp happened on a pvp server.

You’re right, what I was thinking of was the horde/alliance territories that act as sanctuaries for 1 faction

All I want to do is to gank shamans for being too op in the last phase.

Right, like Nesingwary’s camp. I can name 12 other examples, if you’d like.

That’s the thing with using words like “always…” you’re always wrong.

Go ahead they’ll all support my point and not yours; if a horde raid is camping nesingwarys…who cares? Nesingwarys is a small quest chain that offers no rep, no important rewards, no impact on progression. It’s just quest exp and there’s tons of different places you can go for the exact same thing. See the difference?
