Why does this trinket suddenly got into the dps loot table? I just opened my vault and it’s there taking a whole 483 slot when it’s not even a dps spec (yes, my loot was set to arms before)? Went to check and now the item also drops for dps, even tho it’s effects are purely for tanks (also it wasn’t there in the loot table before, it drops in Black Hook Hold). Please fix this
The affect does nothing to effect its stat distribution so actually its just decently weighted stat stick trinket not a tank one.
For dps who like versatility or want a bit more survivability its pretty solidly B tier. Its boring as hell but simple and efficent like a lot of old trinkets use to be.
The stats aren’t the problem, neither is the effect. It’s that the item WASN’T supposed to be in the dps loot table
This trinket was unironically one of the strongest passive trinkets in the game for almost every Strength/Agility DPS spec. Like, it’s one of BM Hunter’s top 3 passive trinkets (they always use an active one) yet they literally could not loot it. This happened with Voidmender’s Shadowgem in Season 1 and Blizzard fixed this by allowing caster DPS specs to loot it.
It is functionally a Versatility stat stick. The effect that silences mobs doesn’t cut into the insane stat budget that trinket has and isn’t relevant at all since it never procs when you want it to.
TL;DR: it isn’t a tank trinket and shouldn’t have ever been classified as one in the first place and Blizzard fixed this problem by making it lootable by DPS specs now.
It is a dps trinket now; just a flat boring stat one thats why its in the dps loot table. Like if you stripped the nullification affect and added absolutely nothing in its place its still a b+ tier dps trinket, the affect is a bonus, its stats are balanced as a dps trinket for actual thorough-put
