Are these RSVP weeklies something I have to do every week to get guests, or are they a one time deal per guest and I’ll eventually just get to pick my guests without having to run around and find them?
You have to do them each week until you are Best Friend with them. Then you can do a talk with them to grant a permanent RSVP status.

1 Do you want the Title "The party herald " ?
2 You just want some specific things like mounts and pets.
If its 1 then yea you have to do them every week until you are best friends with them and even after u r best friends with them you gotta go to them and complete a auto completed after talking quest that gives you the power to have them in court w/o doing the weekly .
If its two you need to go look at wowhead guides coz not all guests have (they do but not very much as some are having better drops than others ) what u r looking for . Like morgraine or lady vash has a very very hiugh chance for dropping a mount and countess drops 100% but after u are best friend with her .
Now lets see you get some guests you dont want on a week ,you will have like 10 or 12 bhoices per week if you use blank invitation on the guests list ,which can be a massive help as some guests quests are almost instant .
Now there is 1 way which you could have untilized before if you havent then make sure whenever there is a world event like upcoming winter veil the rep is massively increased in some events upto like 300% .
There is another way by doing it with a friend so if a friend of your has “the bell” (the place where you start the ember court you will see a way to right side go up and there will be a bell . After you have finished the ember court and your friends has collected the rewards tell him to go there and click the bell ,after he does that all the guests with whom he has best friends will pop up in there and they will offer you a quest giving you 30% more rep everytime you do them in your ember court .
If you couple with a friend in their ember court you wont be able to collect any rewards and also you wont have lockout either . You can finish your friends ember court and still be able to enter yours

I didn’t know that about going into other peoples Ember Courts! I’ve already got the title myself, but it’s good to know I can help others out if I want. I didn’t even know others could join, to be honest. I thought it was a solo only thing.
This is because most of the players dont use wowhead or sites that cater to wow . I have always been using them for some wonky quests etc and its extremely helpfull at times . Wow makers just assume everyone will follow those sites and leave some major stuff out for them to explore . Anyways you can give help in MAJOR ways to your friends who wanna get this thing done fast .

I’m dabbling with the ember court a bit, though must say it isn’t a favorite expansion feature. Maybe I’ll like it better later.
The Ember court is almost as bad as the Path of Ascension. The hoops you have to go through every week for an RSVP is insane. I took a look at what I’d need to do to invite the bear and was like…NO. Not happening. Immediately dropped the Ember court and never went back.
Honeslty IDK how Blizz dropped the ball on the Kyrian and the Venthyr covenant features so badly when the Necrolord and Night Fae ones are so much better it’s not even funny.
What i did when it was not fixed is that i bought 20 of each stuff and then exchanged and exchanged and exchanged and exchanged from the 4 vendors spreaded out through all 4 areas ion shadowlands . Now you just need 1 item and thats it so just buy 20 and keep them in bank (and it used 20 bag slots before idk if its 1 slot now or still 20) . The rest of the rsvps are not that bad either but you see there are buffs so whenever there were buff world events i grinded the tough ones like lady vashj is the only i remember now lol . And now you have a 30% increased buff permanantly i described above and iuf none of your friends have it i will be happy to inv you and give you the buff

You only have to do that once lol. Just buy alot of those items. Best friend status is account wide.
