Ember Court Needs a Rework

This is by far the most time consuming and tedious of the covenant minigames to set up. Having to go out into the world EVERY ember court cycle to collect RSVPs is really just kind of annoying to do.

My suggestion is to make it so we only have to collect an RSVP once per guest so that eventually the ember court is just something we can pop in to do when we need something quick to do, instead of making it a 45 minute long process. Thoughts?

Necrolord have to do a quest per abomination. By tier 3 we have about 10? Aboms. Each one requires you go to any of the possible zones and do their thing.

That sounds about on-par, maybe, but some of our questlines we have to do to unlock our guests every week are ridiculous. Specifically Droman Aliothe. Whoever did this one is evil.

All I do know is that apparently for nightfae the trick is to just do the weekly 1k anima quest but never actually use the garden, just hoard the souls until you get to at least tier 3. That’s some borked gameplay right there.

Hahah Droman Aliothe gets everyone. I’ve had about 7 conversations about getting her RSVP being terrible.

My personal tip is do Cryptkeeper Kassir and Grandmaster Vole - Mushroom Surprise, Ritual of Atonement, classic decoration, venthyr dudes as guards.

You get the RSVP for Kassir really quickly and can bribe Vole into coming for 250g. - Fastest RSVPs

I do agree they should do something about some of the RSVPs though.

For real, I just went through and got 20 of the berries to RSVP Aliothe so that I hopefully never have to again lol, should solve that issue.

The Necrolord ones are chill though, you just wait for a calling to pop up in that zone and spend a few extra minutes banging out the abomination quests with your buddies while you’re there anyway. Plus from an immersion PoV those quests usually feel like you’re repeatedly collecting useful, helpful things for your covenant or helping your necro buddies out. It’s not perfect (Chordy I’m looking at you) but it feels fairly convenient and not overly annoying.

Whereas RSVPing Droman Aliothe is a giant mess of flying around everywhere with the wowhead coordinates open on a second monitor because it’s the only chance you actually have to possibly know how to even get it done in the first place. I wouldn’t have minded it if I knew I only had to do it once because it has some nice sentiment attached to it. But the problem with repetition is by the second time, you’ve lost those feels, and it’s all downhill from there.

Same with Sika’s quest. Once felt good. Repeatedly is annoying af.

So I literally just started with The Ember Court and haven’t got near as far as the rest of you. i upgraded my gear instead. /shrug

But I think that would be a good thing for sure. I was kind of surprised that I needed to do the RSVP’s for the Bastion npc’s yet again. This seems like it will take some serious time to actually get everyone to non-strangers. And then having to re-up the RSVP’s every week seems a little much.

I think it’s fine just the way it is. I like having a week where I just casually prepare a party that I use as a reward the following tuesday after my usual wow chores.

You clearly haven’t attempted the Aliothe RSVP yet. I started it once before I knew better and now I just revoke his invitation instantly.

Pro tip: you can stock up on the item that Droman wants. Watch the price for the dred fangs and when they are cheap (eg aethereal meat was last week i think) buy a ton. Then when you make the annoying travel circuit to get the berries, throw them all in your bank. All you have to do for the next however many times you pick Droman is to fly to his fp and get the rsvp. Yes the berries can be in your bank.

I have about 20 in my bank after learning this the hard way. I figured the item was unique, and when I saw it wasnt, I stocked up.

But yes the rsvp system is stupid annoying. I keep doing droman and cryptkeeper because they are easy to knock out. Cryptkeeper always seems to give me a crypt key in his chest, and i just save it for next week.

I keep choosing those two because formal and relaxing are pretty easy until you build up the court.

As for the court itself, I find it pretty straightforward. Do tea time first if you can, otherwise I find a ton of attendees have tea already later on. Make sure you give tea to the prince and your guests for bonus. Also, make sure you pick theotar soulbind and life of the party trait before you start…

Otherwise I find the court to be straightforward…

I was looking forward to eventually get a bunch of seeds going in my night fae area, but then I switched to venthyr for the vastly superior combat ability.

I did one ember court, and will likely never do it again; the entire sanctum upgrade system doesn’t appeal to me outside of the mission table, so I really don’t give a damn about my covenant…

Outside my great Chain Harvest ability, that is.

Would like to thank Blizzard again for forcing me to choose being useful, or liking my covenant.

Not done any covenant side content for ‘reasons’.
But from what you mention, I’m guessing their way is just to give some ‘pseudo’ content to have you venture into the other zones or whatever for muh rpg.

I guess they could set up a little little monster dude that’d act as a courier and you unlocking more guests lets you pick who to send out rsvp’s to.

I completed my Ember Court for the week, but so far, I’m only seeing one RSVP quest for the next week. Normally there is two. Is anyone else experiencing this as well? I’ve looked and re-looked several times in each zone. The only RSVP quest I have for next week is Droman Aliothe.

I did it once because I thought it would be fun. It was not. Haven’t touched it since.

Make it so the auto RSVP is a perk of getting a certain rep with them.

When I see Droman pop up, I use a blank invitation. That bear has nothing worth getting, for all the busywork you have to put in.
