This is happening on the EU realms, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t be happening on the US realms as well.
Just did the Ember Court event today after the 10.0.5 launch.
Several things inside the event didn’t work (like the orb you get from the Elder that is visiting) - they just say “You need to be in the Ember Court” - the map is reporting as “Sinfall” above the minimap (not sure if that is how it used to be).
Food Fight and several other events are broken the same way, where abilities cannot be used, since they just give the same error.
Pressing the M key to open the map shows the Ember Court map like it should, but none of the guests, the stars for events are shown - just a completely empty map.

Good to hear I’m not the only one seeing this issue.
Same thing happened to me (US realms) on two characters. Many of the decorations were not set correctly, so e.g. refreshments would be floating on nonexistent tables, large setpieces like the atoning ritual fountain weren’t present, and I was able to fall through the floor under the water orb while doing Glimpse of the Wilds which normally isn’t possible.
The relaxing tea chair, Niya’s abilities during Glimpse of the Wilds, and Tulipnose’s bug exploder thing were all bugged the same way. (Weirdly, his bug net works fine.)

Weird that the bug net works - I had the bug zapper, and that didn’t work.
Sounds like the checks are implemented randomly. (I wonder why they even do those checks, since the items are not available outside the event, so why check if the zone is correct…)
