Embarrassingly stuck in the fall of dalaran quest

UPDATE: After many deaths, I was FINALLY graced with the presences of another player (demon hunter) that helped take the boss down. Now to repair my busted gear and finally get to leveling. Holy crap all of that was unpleasant!

My level 70 warlock is currently stuck on the big bug boss at the end of the Dalaran’s fall quest. As soon as I step out of the store by the bank, I am instantly mobbed by bugs that appear. My biggest problem with this is I haven’t played Warlock in a good while and completely forgotten the proper way to be an unkillable lock. The entire fight with the boss prevents me from casting and CC is the biggest problem. I cannot hearth out nor can I opt out of the dalaran quest line. It’s too late for that. Any suggestions on how to get out of this mess?

Yes, yes. I know. GET GUD. My Warlock has been on the back burner for awhile.

I just sent the voidwalker in and cast a few chaos bolts. My warlock is destro so I summon infernal so my chaos bolts recharge faster. I don’t know how the armory works so I cant see your gear, but its good to be on the close side to 500 gs (480 and up)
Demonology you try to talent for the Doomguard to reset his cool down

My advice to somebody that hasn’t started the scenario, grind 71 and buy 515 gear from ah

You got your voidlord out? That should taunt everything so you can free cast.

Yep! Had my berry out but I was having trouble keeping him and myself healed with the waves of bugs. I think it was ‘heh’ bugged, maybe? I don’t recall having that mant crawlies on me on my first run through this. I was finally able to escape thanks to another player!
