So far we’ve got shadow, nature, light/fire and arcane elves. Are there any frost elves in the lore that I might’ve missed that we might get as a playable race?

Just look at the Drakkari. Trolls and Elves are the same thing.
Yeah… no. That’s like chocolate and vanilla. Both are ice cream, but they’re totally different flavors. Probably a bad analogy, but I want an actual ice elf. D:

Honestly though, Id rather have more elves than more gnomes. Not saying I want more elves, just picking the lesser of two evils here.
How about we stop on humanoid races and actually add more races like vulpera?

The Vulpera need to be the last of the beast-type races. Mind you, I’m not for any more Elves, either.
(Speculative): The Naga? They’re more Water than Frost, but those two elements seem to be interchangeable, and the Naga didn’t seem to have much issue in the icy waters of Northrend.
Why’s that, though.
I don’t think there are proper frost elves, but night elves are known to have lived in the far north of ancient Kalimdor, in what is now Northrend. It was probably still cold there. Additionally, there are also night elves naturally hailing from Winterspring.
We could take inspiration from the Master of Elves, J.R.R. Tolkien.
The Light-elves, (The Vanyar).
The Deep-elves, (The Noldor).
The Sea-elves, (The Teleri).
The Dark-elves, (The Avari, or the Moriquendi).
The Nandor.
The Eldar.
The Green Elves, (The Laiquendi).
The Wood Elves, (The Silvan).
The Grey Elves, (The Sindar).
The Half Elves.
There are always more Elves! WoW does not have nearly enough Elvish representation.
We already have vulpera. Now if you say add Sethrak, Im on your boat.

Yeah, we do. Night elves, blood elves, nightborne elves, high elves, void elves, san’layn elves, dark ranger elves, highborne elves, that is indeed enough of animals for one game.
What about interesting races like vulpera or pandaren, though?
