WoW Classic - I killed Omen for the Lunar Festival quest “Elune’s Blessing” but had to log out after the kill before turning in the quest. I returned to the quest giver after logging back in with Elune’s Blessing still on me (50+ minutes) but it shows my quest as incomplete. Why is it not giving me credit? I have the buff it requires!
I have the same problem on Retail. Killed the little wolves and they gave me a blessing buff. doubtful its the one i need so i hung around and killed omen, flopped around in his light beams and no quest completion.
Helped kill a 2nd spawn, same result, logged off in frustration.
Next day had to stop by moonglade on my way to hinterlands (Portal hopping) to sell stuff and chanced upon another attempt at Omen, helped kill him, my DBM made that little fanfare noise “You killed a WOW boss! Heres a FF song!” no buff again. I finally abandoned the quest in frustration after that.
IDK what Im doing so wrong.

Your issue isn’t even the same as theirs nor is it on the same version of the game. Standing in the light left on omen’s corpse is all that’s required to trigger the buff and quest completion.
I mentioned this.
By “flopped around” i mean I stood in it, then moved out and went back in a few times as the buff didnʻt change from the one I got from the smaller wolves
