Are we talking AU draenor? Because I played Shadowmoon Valley plenty of times and there’s only one quest where we get some moon rocks so a kaldorei can bless us via the moonwell there.
We don’t even touch the emerald dream or smuggle anything through it
She has followers on many planets to boot! Nobody tell those two deer dudes in ardenweald that Elune just kinda liked them but not really
Gonna need an actual source, not “uhhhhhh a quest???”
The Harvest witches originally used simple magic to help crops grow and ‘listen to the wind’ as they called it. Not everyone that uses some part of natural magic is directly making contact with the Emerald Dream. We see a looot of nature users throughout our time in WoW. A direct contact with the Emerald Dream is equivalent to communing with the source of the power itself. It is why Druids are masters of this magic.
Worgen form opened up this route for Harvest witches
There was an entire quest chain in Vanilla where you found out that Elune created the Wildkin.

Priestess of Elune says: Who has disturbed the altar of the goddess?
Ranshalla says: Please, priestesses, forgive us for our intrusion. We do not wish any harm here.
Ranshalla says: We only wish to know why the wildkin guard this area…
Priestess of Elune says: Enu thora’serador. This is a sacred place.
Priestess of Elune says: We will show you…
Priestess of Elune says: Look above you; thara dormil dorah…
Priestess of Elune says: This gem once allowed direct communication with Elune, herself.
Priestess of Elune says: Through the gem, Elune channeled her infinite wisdom…
Priestess of Elune says: Realizing that the gem needed to be protected, we turned to the goddess herself.
Priestess of Elune says: Soon after, we began to have visions of a creature… A creature with the feathers of an owl, but the will and might of a bear…
Priestess of Elune says: It was on that day that the wildkin were given to us. Fierce guardians, the goddess assigned the wildkin to protect all of her sacred places.
Also, a Dryad in Outland believes that Elune created the wildlife there.

I do not pride myself knowing we destroyed what Elune has created, but the corruption needed to be stopped. You have done well .
Edit: Also, Khadgar believes Elune created Xe’ra. How could I have forgotten that?
https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Goddess_Watch_Over_You
I was going through some ancient cosmology tomes when I stumbled upon a passage indicating that the prime naaru may have been created by Elune during the great ordering of Light and Shadow.
If Elune did create Xe’ra, then it stands to reason that we could use the Tears of Elune to unlock the secrets of Light’s Heart.
This one obviously can’t be given credit to though, it’s probably just one of those “my deity created it all” things you may hear from religious people
Or the Dryad sees Elune in all living beings so she uses her name to refer to Life in general
Well Elune is one of the few actual gods in warcraft we know of. As such there wouldn’t be just one planet she looked at or touched.
Does feel weird that one of said planets would happen to be Dreanor though.
Chronicles 2 went over the history of Draenor and it explained that the planet was naturally teeming with life because of an overabundance of the Spirit element (due to the fact that there wasn’t any slumbering World Soul to gobble it up). Elune was never involved.
(Also Elune is probably a very powerful cosmic being but “actual god” doesn’t really mean anything)
The thing is, in the physical universe none of the cosmic forces exist in a vacuum. Everything operates as a system of all six interacting (this even seems to somewhat happen in their own domains, albeit to a less balanced degree.) So yes, Draenor teemed with life because of the abundant Spirit, but that doesn’t mean Spirit by itself just directly manifested all that life. The burgeoning life responded to the excess Spirit by proliferating, so by way of Life as a cosmic force Elune and that domain may well have been “involved” as they would be anywhere that Life blooms.
Just as Azeroth’s lack of free Spirit energy didn’t mean its rampaging elements themselves were manifested by the resulting Decay; the elements were already present by their own natures, and their development/behavior was a response to the absence of Spirit.
And in a similar vein to Draenor’s early circumstances, when the removal of Y’shaarj caused Azeroth’s world-soul to bleed all over the place, the empowered arcane waters that doused the primordial continent were likely also charged with a bunch of the Spirit that had been hoarded by the slumbering titan, spurring the vast amount of new organic life that erupted across Kalimdor.
Sorry, I didn’t meant to imply that the Dryad was 100% right. Sometimes I just go off on tangents. The Dryad simply views Elune as a creator deity.
Basically you’re taking some priest’s (and dryad’s) words as objective fact when owlbears are the combination of two beings, and night elves are trolls that are evolved (or mutated).
Elune didn’t create either of them.
YOU KNOW HE’S OBJECTIVELY FALSE.
We know she’s a nature god, not light.
Holy hell, dude, who are you trying to please with these lies??
Oop, unhid a reply and it was some angry nonsense I don’t wanna read lol.

This gives me the idea of a future expansion of Elune’s least favorite children showing up as antagonists. Not that I want more #### to befall the Night Elves, but am still enjoying the mental image of some kind weird spaceships landing down near a nelf city and disgorging a band of marauding Elf/Faceless One hybrid-looking monsters snarling “MoM aLwAyS lIkEd YoU bEsT!..”
Since this discussion went a whole other way from the original topic, I made a new thread for the discussion of Elune and her relation to nature:
It is not a joke or insult, it is absolute truth. Check any WC art of nelfs before wow, or check the nelf campaign screen in WC3, the one with purple stiper in only underwear but with all those glowing trinkets on her naked body. Im pretty sure that many parts pf early lore for the WC, has been written with only one hand, if you get what i mean. So trying to logically explain this lore part, is pointless.
She’s not a “God of the Alliance”. If she were, she would have intervened a bit more meaningfully in the last War, at the very least, the War of Thorns.
I mean, if you want to be really nitpicky, that dialogue doesn’t actually say Elune created the wildkin. It says they were previously unknown to the priestesses and that Elune assigned them to guard her sacred places. I think the idea that Elune created them is a reasonable conclusion, but there’s enough wiggle room if Blizzard wanted to say they already existed and she just led them to the temple.
