I feel this as a point to focus on seems pretty minute to the greater discussion taking place, but you seem to be passionate about it, so I’ll address:
Yes the term was “pet”, not “creation”, sorry for using a different word, if that makes you more comfortable.
In saying such, the Winter Queen is noting Elune’s influence upon Ysera. We also know that whenever Elune’s power has manifested in some way in Ardenweald; the Winter Queen has appeared and questioned why it is here with the same tone and disgruntlement. We also know the moment the Winter Queen restored Ysera, she bound her with Her own power (as stated by them) and Ysera was now to serve her and Ardenweald. Ysera’s eyes also began to shine with the power of Ardenweald/Winter Queen, rather than the Emerald Dream.
Added to this is the mention of the original link of Death through Ardenweald to Life in the Emerald Dream. Ysera was a manifestation of the Emerald Dream’s power, and would show us why the Winter Queen was at first looking down at her, since Elune who is her counterpart represents Life for Nature would be the same energy imbued in Ysera.
For what little it’s worth, in that Dragonflight questline with Ysera and Malfurion, a Darkspear and Zandalari druid both run off with the rest of them in the green dragon gardens when someone calls out that it’s time to honor their ancient oath to defend the emerald dream. They have no reason to be on the dragon isles at all if not for that.
Ysera’s Soul was sent to Ardenweald by Elune herself. That’s why the Winter Queen sensed that Ysera was Elune’s “pet”.
Elune might not be related to the Emerald Dream at all aside from her son being raised by it’s ruler necessitating a reward by sending her to Ardenweald upon death.
All we know of the Emerald Dream is that it’s a mirror of both Azeroth and(according to Devs) Ardenweald though not why. For all we know all Cosmic Realms have mirrors of Ardenweald with the Emerald Dream being Order’s mirror and Elune’s Realm being Life’s mirror!
To any saying the First Ones are obsessed with Order: the Oracle Saezurah states that the Cosmos has been shaped but nothing is fated while Firim suggests the possibility that the First Ones’ pattern was never meant to endure.
For all we know the First Ones created the Pattern for one purpose with the goal of letting everything fall to chaos once that purpose was done.
All those connected to nature or servants of nature go to Ardenweald as part of the cycle. We don’t have any indication that Elune personally sent her. If anything Elune showed us she was very much out of touch with what was happening in Ardenweald. She did honour Ysera with the constellation she made upon her death though.
Even then, saying she would be considered “Elune’s pet” on such isn’t much of a basis of claim.
Point above.
We were given a lot more regarding in with Shadowland questing and info. It was even revealed that Ardenweald and the Dream are two sides of the same coin as part of the cycle of renewal for nature.
We also have A lot of information about the Dream itself hinting of it being far more extensive than just a vision of Azeroth. The Rift of Aln alone gives rise to questions. It is quite possible the Emerald Dream we know is just that part, but there is more to the entirety of it.
The Grimoire of the Shadowlands makes it quite clear that Wild Gods resurrected by Ardenweald generally revive at the exact place they perished with the Wild Gods of Azeroth(who revive in the Emerald Dream where Freya tethered them) being the exception rather than the rule.
Except that oath only applied to the Night Elves. It’s THE reason they were made immortal by the Pact of Nordrassil… a pact Malfurion broke when he had the Tree detonated.
You mean besides the fact that her death was Elune personally drawing out Ysera’s soul upon death. Wherever Ysera ended up, Elune had to have dropped her off. We know Elune is related to Nature and is related to the Winter Queen. Despite your theory, we honestly have no idea how Elune relates to Ardenweald, the cycle, or even the Winter Queen. We don’t even know if the two are actual blood sisters or something akin to sworn sisters.
All we do know about Elune is that she is related to nature in some way and to the moon and stars as that’s her symbol. But as far as her nature connection, we have no idea. To assert that she’s the center of druidism is quite the stretch.
Honestly, I think that line was more about making up to Night Elf players for the whole “Elune abandoned us, so now we are forsaken” thing in BfA than about logic.
Ysera isn’t in that category. She’s a creature artificially uplifted by the Titans and put in charge of protecting the Emerald Dream. She’s not a Wild God.
i think all druids are in some kind or form connected to the dream, even if the zandalari questline gave no context to, and maybe its called differently, but without a doubt there is a connection there, and we know the emerald dream is only a tiny fragment of the garden of live, and the garden of live is elune und all others Sommerqueens/livetitans realm
That and her nightmares were actively attacking and causing Ardenweald issues. The Winter Queen had 2 choices. Do her sister a solid and have her owe you for saving her pet from oblivion, or cull it and use the Anima for other parts of the woods.
It would also make no sense that a connection to the Emerald Dream is necessary for Druids to use Nature magic. Life/Nature energy runs accross the entire planet, flowing through its veins ; Druids could just tap freely tap into it, the way Mages, Warlocks, Paladins and Shadow Priests do with their respective cosmic forces
This is evidenced by the fact that there are Druids on Draenor too, among the Arakkoa and Saberon for example
and the reason why druids were on draenor was, that according to blizz, the emereald dream was there aswell, we even had quests there inside the emerald dream.
The more interesting fact is that another name for the emerald dream is the dream of creation.
